Came here last night for dinner. What a beautiful spot off Sunset and Cahuenga! I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally got a chance. We were assisted by Sunny who was very kind, joyful and comedic. She made out dining experience worth while. We had the Chicken Ramen and then a Modified Spicy Veggie Broth Beef Bulgogi Ramen since one of us doesn’t eat pork. All of the meat ramens are made in pork broth, but you’re allowed to substitute the broth out which was awesome. The food was delicious and well seasoned, we also loved the broth. Kirin is such a good place, I will certainly return. If you’re looking for good food, incredible service and great prices, give Kirin a try you will not regret it!

Kirin Sushi and Ramen in Hollywood is a hidden gem for anyone craving quality Japanese comfort food.
The sushi is fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Every roll tastes balanced and flavorful without being overloaded with sauce. The ramen is rich and satisfying, with a deep broth that feels homemade and noodles cooked just right. You can tell they care about both flavor and consistency.
The restaurant has a cozy, modern vibe that’s perfect for a casual lunch or relaxed dinner. Service is friendly and efficient, and food comes out fast without feeling rushed. It’s the kind of place you end up bookmarking after your first visit.
Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, ramen, or both (which is the correct answer), Kirin delivers on quality, portion size, and overall experience.

If you’re in Hollywood craving authentic Japanese eats, Kirin Sushi and Ramen is an absolute must-visit! We stopped by before a Pantages show and were blown away by how perfectly it hits all the marks—fresh sushi, flavorful ramen, and a cozy yet lively vibe that fits right into the neighborhood. The sushi rolls (we loved the spicy tuna and signature Kirin Roll) were packed with high-quality fish, and the tonkotsu ramen had a rich, savory broth, tender chashu pork, and perfectly chewy noodles that hit the spot. The staff was friendly and attentive, even during the dinner rush, and the service was quick enough that we never felt rushed for our show. With reasonable prices (most mains around $20) and a welcoming atmosphere great for friends, dates, or pre-event meals, it’s no wonder this spot feels like a local secret. We’re already planning our next visit to try their tempura and sashimi—don’t sleep on this Hollywood gem!

Kirin Sushi and Ramen in Hollywood feels like stepping into Kyoto, with cherry blossoms and cozy Japanese vibes. Great value, fast service, and impressive quality. Must-tries: Spicy Salmon Special, Philly Tempura, Super Dragon Roll with tempura shrimp and eel, and the 12-piece sashimi platter featuring sweet shrimp, scallop, tuna, and salmon that tastes incredibly fresh.

At here when I visited the area. There’s a paid parking lot across the restaurant. The atmosphere inside is nice as always for a Japanese type of vibe. Ordered multiple dishes of sushi to try. All of them were not disappointing at all. I also ordered the tonkatsu ramen which was really delicious. I don’t say that much at all about ramen. All the ramen I’ve had so far in my life, this is the second ramen I would say that is really good. Price was typical and not overpriced. Staffs were attentive and nice too.
Would I eat here again? Yes. It’s hard and rare to find a really good ramen place.

Had a hankering for some Japanese food and came across Kiren the other day. It was still early for dinner, but the place was still mostly full of customers. I went with the bar. It is a very cute place. Lots of details to make it comfortable and put you at ease. Good happy hour prices as well! The service was not rushed, and they constantly checked in with me to make sure I had everything I needed. I ordered some Saba along with the salmon bento box. The mackerel was one of the better ones I have had. It was very fresh and topped with fresh wasabi. The bento box was very filling, loved the toppings on the rice. Sesame and finely grated seaweed really enhance the flavor. The miso soup was really good, and you can tell that care was taken making everything. And the shrimp Tempura was one of the best I have had. So plump, it was cooked just right. The entrée had a good amount of salmon as well. The teriyaki sauce was thick and flavorful. It kind of overpowers salmon but was to be expected. There is parking in the neighborhood, but it can be hit or miss. Folks just kept coming in while I was there. The bar was beginning to fill up when I left. I will definitely be back. Between the prices and the quality of food, this place rocks!

Highly recommended! As ramen enthusiasts who have explored numerous spots across LA, including some high-end and pricey ones, this is the only place where we were completely satisfied with every bite, and our wallets are eager for a return visit. We ordered garlic edamame and gyoza as sides. The gyoza had an ideal crispy exterior and a perfectly cooked interior, while the edamame was cooked to perfection, with pods that popped out easily and a deliciously garlicky flavor. For our main dishes, we chose the tonkotsu ramen and one of their special ramens. Even as takeout, the toppings blended well with the broth, and the meat was cooked to perfection, making it easy to eat with chopsticks. The flavors were well-balanced and strong, never fading or becoming overwhelming. Additionally, the service was exceptional; not only did we receive our food promptly, but they also called out to us after we forgot our sauce, which no other place has done before. We will definitely be returning!

I recently visited a restaurant that, while not extravagant, certainly met my expectations. I particularly enjoyed the “abogado” in the abogado roll, which tasted very fresh. The tonkotsu ramen was also satisfying and had the authentic tonkotsu flavor I was hoping for.
Overall, I had a positive experience and appreciated the quality of the food relative to the reasonable prices. I plan to return in the future.
