The restaurant has a spacious, bustling dining room that immediately sets the tone for a lively and energetic experience, especially during peak dim sum hours. It truly feels like a place where families gather and celebrate food together.

The dim sum selection is extensive and consistently delicious. Favorites like shrimp har gow, siu mai, BBQ pork buns, and rice noodle rolls are freshly made, flavorful, and served hot. The ingredients taste high-quality, and the balance of textures and flavors is exactly what you’d expect from a well-established Cantonese kitchen. Beyond dim sum, their dinner menu also offers excellent seafood and classic stir-fry dishes that are perfect for sharing.

Dim sum here was fantastic. The Xiu Mai was massive and very filling. We ordered the shrimp egg rolls, which arrived super hot, crispy and stuffed with shrimp. The fried shrimp balls were also fantastic. The short ribs and the sticky rice were also delicious and flavorful. I am excited about returning to this location again.

Less crowded which is great!
No wait time when checked in around 1:30pm on Saturday. The parking is easy. The food is great! The servers are friendly and attentive.

DFW needs a solid dim sum restaurant and this place did not disappoint! Food was excellent, Service was very good, and the place was clean, well lit, and furniture was new. Ambience was great too!

I came to the soft opening (Nov 25th, 2025) of Kirin Court’s new Plano location (off Custer Rd) and was pleasantly surprised. All of the dim sum dishes were fresh tasting, seasonings were applied accurately, and service was attentive and helpful. I’m definitely coming back!!

I celebrated my birthday here with my family and we had a wonderful experience. John, our host, was amazing — he gave great menu recommendations, was very attentive, and even brought us extra buns. The restaurant is spacious and a great spot for group gatherings. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Kirin Court for at least 10 years and am so happy that there is a second location now.
To me this is the best dim sum in Dallas and now in Plano.
Also, please try ordering the Peking Duck. There is the main course with steamed buns but there is also a second course with a duck stir fry and lettuce leafs. This is one of my all time favorite dishes. Great place for larger groups because they can seat 10 people at one large round table without issues.

I love the new location! It seems like a larger space and more updated. We ate there a week ago, on a Sunday at 10am. I’m glad we got there early to beat the rush. The food was lovely, as usual. I felt the service was much better than I’ve ever had at the Kirin Court venues. The waiters were especially attentive: asking if we needed anything, if everything was okay, and filling our water glasses. I hope this continues because it’s a step up. I did notice that the variety of dim sum offered from the carts increased around 11 (towards the end of our meal).
Other than that, I was very pleased with the new venue. Looking forward to bringing my friends and family back!

My bf and I visited in on a Friday night date, and we have never been to a Kirin Court location before, but are regular dim sum enjoyers.

It wasn’t too busy, and we got seated immediately. We ordered ~5 items, items that, for the most part, we get every time we go to a dim sum place.

I just have to say it: this is pretty much the worst food quality dim sum I’ve had in the area. All the food was bland, room temperature, and took ages to come out. Our last dish took over an hour. After we ordered, waitstaff was also generally inattentive, only showing up to refill water.

We have many other favorites in the area that are better for $60+, namely Zhang’s Kitchen. I do not have an interest in returning.

This new Kirin dim sum spot feels completely upgraded compared to the Richardson location. The space is modern, the service is smoother, and the food tastes fresher all around. Har gow, siu mai, and baked buns are noticeably better—lighter, hotter, and more consistent.

If the old Kirin didn’t wow you, this new one will. A much-needed refresh and a great dim sum stop.

Update: came back to 2nd time – food tasted differently from soft opening. Very disappointed. It seems the quality control is not consistent yet
