Kirby’s Pub is a laid-back restaurant and bar tucked into the 94th Street Plaza in Ocean City. It’s open every day from 11:30 AM to 2:00 AM.
I’d heard this place was the go-to spot for wings and steamed shrimp, so I told my friends we were making a stop. They didn’t need much convincing.
We kicked things off with the shrimp jammers and Southwest chicken egg rolls. The shrimp were perfectly fried and loaded with cheese, honestly some of the best fried shrimp I’ve ever tasted. The egg rolls were also cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. Both appetizers were absolutely top-notch!
After the starters, we ordered the ole goat wings, jumbo steamed shrimp, curly fries, and a grilled chicken Caesar wrap. The wings were decent, average size and slightly overcooked. The curly fries were also a bit overdone, but well-seasoned. The wrap was standard. I can’t say anything about the jumbo steamed shrimp. They never showed up. Highly disappointing, since that’s the reason I came.
Service was underwhelming, even by pub standards. We waited a long time for everything, and no one checked in to see how the food was. The jumbo shrimp was charged but never arrived, so we had to ask for it to be removed from the bill. If you go, I’d definitely recommend sitting at the bar instead of a table. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Right off the bat, this is dive bar atmosphere. We went in there expecting very little, food wise. We were pleasantly surprised. The place is small and on busy days can feel
cramped. It’s worth it. All 4 of us have nothing but positive things to say about the food. The roast beef club was HUGE. The beef was tasty and plentiful. The chicken tenders Nere phenomenal with great seasoning and cooked perfectly. The French Dop was amazing. Two diners who eat French Dip regularly said i was the best they had and surpassed the place they get it at home. The French fries? Wow. A basket of fries was enough to feed the whole table and the seasoning was amazing. Now let’s talk about their chips. When you see homemade chips on a menu you know it’s usually a vanity, cheap filler. This is NOT THE CASE here. The Kirby chips are CRAZY good. One diner who.will not eat chips tried one and said even though he’s not a chip eater these had an amazing taste. We had sodas, 2 mixed drinks and a draft. Beer was ICE cold. Mixed drinks were perfect. Definitely not watered down. The atmosphere is dive bar. Not my scene and almost walked out. The music and people are loud. The space is limited. But the FOOD is amazing. I didn’t expect much and now l’m embarrassed by that judgemental thought. It’s so good we added their menu to our realtors’ menu book in our rental. Will we be back? ABSOLUTELY and probably this week. We like to try different places but this place deserves a second visit.

You gotta check this place out ASAP! This was by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Food phenomenal. Service was excellent by Micha. On a scale of 1 to 10 I gave it a 15.

Wow!! The bartenders were amazing, talented, very friendly and highly skilled. What a great little spot!! It’s small but very inviting, just a great environment!! The food is amazing & great selection of beers on tap. The menu is great & there are specials during football games. Just do it, you won’t be disappointed!!!

This is my favorite place in OCMD and the love is so high that it was a major consideration as to what location I purchased our family beach house! My go to here are their burger and French dip but I’ve been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal, bad drink or bad service. 5 stars all the way around to you guys.

Went at 11pm. Very close to our hotel. Drinks were great and I felt they had the best shrimp and onions. I am guessing the butter had garlic in it and I was hooked. Will be back again for sure. Left a sticker.

Barely got served. Bar was so busy. Extremely loud. Not that clean. We didn’t eat. Just rude loud people. Just drinks and left. At least its somewhere to go watch football in winter season…

Awesome pub. First time we were there was October 2024. Went back for the happy hour shrimp and wings September 10, 2025. Both very good, and good service from Billie Jo again!! She makes you feel at home!! We will be back!!
