Such a cool place within the Marriott Hotel. My husband was there on a business trip and I enjoyed all the amenities as well as the service from the ladies within the restaurant. They did an amazing job for their business meal at night.We had so much fun!

From the comments, Kips seems to run hot and cold. Evidently, we were there on a hot day. We were staying next door at the Courtyard. Walked over for something different. Seated quickly. Great service. Very good food. I had the corned beef Hash with poached eggs and hollandaise. Quiet atmosphere – could talk with the spouse. Billed directly to our room at the Courtyard. Deserving of 5* when we were there.

We went here as a group of 11. We were seated right away. Our waitress was fantastic! The food was great (one person did say the staek they ordered was rubbery but the rest for the meal was good). I was very happy with the amount of food on the menu I could/would eat (no nightshade and limited meat). Highly recommend the mushroom Risotto with salmon. It was so good! If you’re looking for a nice place with lots of different food options, this is your place!

Are here last night with my partner, his sister, and his nieces. I advised of a severe allergy to shellfish and ordered the mushroom risotto and chicken. He ordered the shepards pie and we shared dessert.
Unfortunately I had a cross contamination reaction and ended up in ER. Staff was amazing and the food was good. Allergy community be extra alert. Thanks.

I don’t normally give hotel restaurants 5 star reviews, but Kips deserves it. The food is good, with several local selections. The service is great. It’s not pretentious but it is nice. Comfortable really.
I grew up in MN but live in New Mexico. One of the things I miss is MN bar hamburgers. Weird, right? Though Minnesotans don’t recognize it, the restaurants here are really creative with their burgers. Kips Black and Tan is a solid example. The outside of the burger is caramelized to a crunch even in medium rare hamburgers. That, combined with the crunchy lettuce just makes the burger. You’ll find better but this is a good “coming home” burger.
They also have walleye, MN’s favorite fish and the breakfasts (ordered off the menu) are great. The full bar finishes the deal.
If you’re coming to town, give it a try.

Ordered Kip’s for in-room dining at the Marriott West. Walleye was great, cooked right, no complaints there.
But the rest of the experience felt careless. Ordered a burger with no bacon got bacon and no bun instead. Staff did fix it, but it shouldn’t have been wrong to begin with.
Also, the menu online is outdated items like the turkey burger are no longer offered. That creates confusion and sets the wrong expectations.
Good food, but the team needs to pay closer attention to orders. Small misses add up.

I am a very fussy picky eater. And an incredibly fussy cocktail drinker. I was hesitant to come here based on the reviews which really seem unfair given I have eaten here both evenings in the past two days.
The blackened salmon salad and sweet potato fries were delicious yesterday.
The steak salad and shoe string fries were amazing today.
The Kip Old fashioned with a big rock clear cube was delightful.
Couldn’t recommend more.
Tom at the bar was friendly helpful and fast with service.
I’m so glad I didn’t leave the hotel to eat. Would have missed out on this gem.

Subject: Extremely Poor Service at Kips Restaurant
I had one of the worst experiences at Kips Restaurant recently. I was left waiting for over an hour without even being acknowledged or allowed to place an order. Despite clearly trying to get the attention of the waiter multiple times, I was completely ignored while others who arrived much later were being served.
This level of service is unacceptable. No customer should ever have to sit for that long just to make an order—especially without a single apology or explanation from the staff. If this is how Kips treats its customers, I honestly see no reason to come back or recommend it to anyone.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue with the staff involved.
Also when we get served the food was even not how we ordered the salmon fish was burnt when we told them they didn’t even cared also mash potatoes was worse we tried to show them too but never cared

Great food! Connected to Marriott Hotel so was kind of busy making service a little slow but not unbearable. Noise level was to loud to fully enjoy the beautiful design, hard to hear the person next to you talking.

Came for breakfast with my daughter and we were pleasantly surprised. The place had just opened for service and we had the place to ourselves save 2 other patrons. Breakfast was fantastic! Eggs and hash browns were fluffy and made perfectly. Bacon and sausage were delicious. I will be trying lunch and dinner sometime during my stay.
So I came in for dinner and the food I ordered was fantastic. I ordered the salad and bowl of tomato bisque with was delicious. My daughter had the fish n chips (cod) which was served with steak fries. Again a great meal. Unfortunately if not for one waitress who saved our dinner I would give customer service a zero. We sat for about 25 minutes before we were even recognized as customers . Dinner can be busy, so you’ve been warned.
