For this week’s Thursday Lunch Adventure, we decided to try Kipplee’s in Evansville!

I went with the Fall Menu Special, starting with the soft pretzel ring for my appetizer — warm, salty, and perfect. For my entrée, I tried the donut burger, and it did not disappoint. Sweet, savory, and definitely a must-try item this season!

AJ ordered the cheese balls for his appetizer and the Cajun Stromboli for his entrée. It was his first time at Kipplee’s, and he was really impressed — from the flavors to the portion sizes.

We both really liked this restaurant. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the fall menu adds some awesome seasonal options. Another fantastic local spot to put on your list!

Not bad. The pizza is thin crust but not cracker crust, which is nice. I’d call it standard pub fare. Loaded fries are ok. The pizza was decent. The staff was great, and the facility was clean. The game room was pretty small and more crane or claw style games. The bar seemed popular.

In the area for work and wanted a quick local place for lunch. The parking lot was pretty full when I pulled in, I thought that was great sign. When I walked in, it smelled great, I smelled food, pizza, spice, yum, always a sign of a quality place. Opted to sit in and at the bar. The epitome of a small town bar. Perfect, just my style. Big U shaped bar, plenty of booths and tables to sit at depending on your preference. I opted for the daily special, double burger with fries and added on the beef vegetable soup. Service was speedy and top notch. Food was fresh, exactly what I was expecting and made to order. If I lived nearby I’d be in here two-three times a week for lunch and for a pizza on Friday. Great place, quality food at a very fair price and top notch service. Jaime was excellent, super friendly, and I didn’t have to ask for anything extra, she knew exactly what I needed. A big thanks to Jamie and Kipplee’s for a great visit! Highly recommend!

The Maranated Chicken Breast is the Best in the tri-state it reminds me of Western Ribis right down the road that’s closed now. It was our Favorite go to for steaks and Maranated Gilled Chicken. We now have a new Love. So for everything has been outstanding there. We will be Back.

Brandon was absolutely fantastic! He was attentive, and came over whenever we needed. When he was over, he was quick and took our order with efficiency and so much kindness. He made our time so great, and did a wonderful job. Loved this place before, but will come back just for him.

So their pizza was excellent. Also had their cheese garlic bread appetizer and it was delicious. The service here was outstanding and was fast and accurate. Drinks were refilled without needing to ask. This restaurant is easy to navigate to using Google Maps. They have plenty of free parking in their large lot.

Atmosphere was classic Evansville sports bar. Service was quick and friendly. Food was fresh and if you’re reading my other reviews, THE BUN WAS FRESH. Great value. Thank you Kipplee’s.

Let’s talk about Kipplee’s.
Because once upon a time?
It was that girl.
The food? Fire. The vibes? Immaculate. The service? Like a warm hug from your favorite auntie.

But now?
Now it’s giving ‘under new management’ in the worst way.
It’s giving ‘we don’t season anymore.’
It’s giving ‘we reheated this in a microwave and dared you to say something.’

I went in with hope. With nostalgia. With hunger.
I ordered the chicken—classic, right?
And what did I get?
A plate of pink poultry and passive aggression.

I cut into it and thought, ‘Hmm… that’s a little rosy.’
I flag the server, politely, like, ‘Hey, I think this chicken might be undercooked.’
And she looks me dead in the eyes and says,
‘Well… what do you want it, well done?’

EXCUSE ME?
Ma’am, I want it cooked.
I want it safe.
I want it not to be a salmonella roulette wheel.

Since when did asking for fully cooked chicken become a customization?
This isn’t a steakhouse. This is Kipplee’s.
Or at least, it used to be.

Now it’s just a shell of its former self.
The food’s mid. The service is cold.
And the only thing well done?
Is my patience—because it’s cooked, seared, and served with a side of disappointment.

So yeah.
Kipplee’s used to be a comfort spot.
Now it’s a cautionary tale.
And if you see me there again?
No you didn’t.

Came here twice while working in town.. both times the food was good and the service was great!! Those dough dogs were so good, the cheese pizza was tasty and he enjoyed his cheesesteak sub! Would definitely go back if working in town again.
