This was such a fun dining experience at Kintaro in the Woodmere location. We did the $35 AYCE sushi and BBQ combo. For dinner, it’s $29.99 if you choose just sushi, BBQ, or hotpot, with an additional $5 if you want to add BBQ.
The quality of the sushi and sashimi was great, it wasn’t cheap quality like many buffets. The rolls and nigiri were generously sized, fresh, and tasty. If you love sushi, you definitely won’t be disappointed. Just make sure you’re not too greedy when ordering, because they do charge for any leftovers.
For the BBQ, you cook everything yourself. We ordered the Korean-style pork belly, spicy pork belly, prime brisket, and Kintaro’s signature short rib. The meats are sliced thin, so if you overcook them, they can dry out pretty quickly. They also give you a large bottle of butter, which we used to cook garlic and oyster mushrooms, and it tasted amazing. They also give you lettuce so you can make ssam, which makes the BBQ experience even better. In the back, there’s a BBQ and hotpot sauce station where you can grab sauces and customize everything to your liking. One thing I wished they had at the sauce station was black pepper flakes. I usually make my dipping sauce with salt, sesame oil, and black pepper, and it would’ve been perfect to pair with the meats.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back once I’ve fully digested everything. I’m still so full from what I ate!

Kintaro is an excellent all-you-can-eat sushi spot that truly delivers on both food and service. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and consistently well prepared, making it easy to keep ordering more. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit. A special shoutout to our server, Mel, who was incredibly careful and thoughtful with my daughter’s allergies, which gave us real peace of mind and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back in the future, and next time we’re bringing the whole family. Highly recommended.

First time visiting a Hot Pot style restaurant. I really enjoyed this place. The food and service was great. No long waits and a wide variety. I highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Love the atmosphere in this restaurant and it was very clean inside. The sushi was great and they dont skimp at all. We look forward to coming back again with friends to try the BBQ. They also have hot pot here too.
The only negative we had was the server put all of our sushi together because it was easier for him, but it made it hard for us to keep straight with what each of us got.

We ate here on the fourth day after opening, and the food was great! I’m so glad this concept came to Tucson, I’ve been missing NY Sushi Restaurant. Tao, the manager, seated us and was very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Alex, was also wonderful and kept checking on us throughout the meal. We loved the Kani Salad! So happy to see it on the menu! The fried rice and steak were also excellent, and the sushi was freshly made. I can already tell this place is going to get very busy! I hope they continue to maintain the same high quality of food and service.

I’m sorry to say this, but my first experience here did not meet my expectations .
We arrived on a Monday, so the restaurant wasn’t very busy. We were seated right away , but when we ordered drinks, we had to wait over 20 minutes ⏰—even though there weren’t many customers around us and there were plenty of staff nearby.
After ordering drinks, we also placed our food order. However, we had to wait another 20 minutes ⌛. Since we ordered Hot Pot & BBQ, all the food was still raw, which should have been served much faster than expected .
When we finished the food and ordered more, we waited another 15+ minutes just for a few raw shrimp and vegetables .
As for the taste:
• The appetizers like kimchi and pickled radish were too sweet
• The BBQ marinade was too bland
• The Hot Pot broth was acceptable
Since the restaurant is newly opened, the space is clean and airy ✨, and the BBQ smell did not stick to our clothes, even after sitting in the car .
We’ve been to many Hot Pot & BBQ restaurants, and they usually offer dessert, but for some reason, the staff never asked us ❓.
I honestly don’t think I will come back here again.
Sorry for being so straightforward, but this is my honest experience .

Omg! This place really exceeded my expectations. We did the all you can eat sushi and it was the freshest sushi I’ve had in years! I don’t think I’ll bother getting sushi from anywhere else because their sushi practically melts in your mouth. They have a lot of fun beverages to choose from. We were told that they would be selling alcohol soon but, honestly, the drinks are flavorful and satisfying enough without alcohol. I can’t wait to come back to this place for the hot pot. This was a fun dining experience and I hope they continue to keep up the great work!

I love Kintaro! Good sauce bar and plenty of options for hot pot. You really can’t beat their lunch special! Love this new location as it’s closer to the city and super remodeled. ❤️

Kintaro’s food and service is amazing! All you can eat sushi was the way to go for the family and let me tell you they can eat! The server was extremely helpful with recommendations on the best rolls for our taste and made sure we were well taken care of the entire meal. You really cant beat the prices or the food quality! They also do hot pot and there is a huge selection of food for that as well. I highly recommend the lobster roll. It was delicious!

Very good and fun experience, it is 30 dollars each but all of the food was great. It is all you can eat! But they do charge 11 bucks a pound for what you order and don’t eat!
