Had a lovely two mornings at Kinsmith during my stay. Famous and Jackie at the hostess stand were so kind. Tabitha, my server both mornings helped to make sure I had a wonderful time. The first day I wanted to order the Dutch baby but wasn’t able to wait the 20 minutes it takes to make, so Tabitha suggested I preorder the next day. I did that today and I am so glad! The Dutch baby was so good that Chef Neque came out to talk with me about it. Great team and great experience!

Brought a group of 10 and our breakfast was delicious! Staff were kind and attentive. Not very busy this morning so atmosphere was serene. Gorgeous decor details, and so conveniently connected to the Trilogy! I had the eggs Benedict with the cheesy grits. SO good. Biscuits were also flaky and buttery- AMAZING!

Inside an old mansion, Kinsmith is part of the Trilogy Hotel in downtown Montgomery. Staying at the hotel, it was easy for our group to meet here for breakfast. Here’s our experience.
1) Food: For breakfast, the menu is diverse from French toast to shrimp and grits. Each of us ordered a different dish and none of us were wowed by it. The French toast was overcooked and just not tasty for being encrusted with corn flakes. The shrimp and grits were runny. The avocado toast used old guacamole. Nothing stood out.
2) Drinks: We stuck with coffee, which was average. Cream and sugar are available on the tables.
3) Service: This is where they win. Our server was delightful and efficient, especially for serving a larger group.
4) Space: Its beautiful- historic and full of local art.

Fantastic ambiance, food was great and cooked to perfection. I am picky about my soft scrambled eggs. The staff was very friendly and checked in on me. The vibe is really great.

Kinsmith is a hidden gem in Montgomery, Located inside the Trilogy hotel, this restaurant does a phenomenal job combining fine dining and southern cuisine. I do think they could use some additional staff but the staff we had were amazing. Chef Patrick crafted a wonderful meal and KK was an excellent server. I would highly recommend them for any special occasions.

Great breakfast on a beautiful Saturday morning. The Executive Chef and staff are extremely friendly and the menu options are all interesting and tempting. I had the sweet corn pain perdue which was a texture lover’s dream and so indulgent. My partner had the savory dutch baby and the (grandma’s recipe) grits. He loved it! Portions are generous. Atmosphere is lovely and chic. Perfect location in the heart of Montgomery.

We went here for brunch. The atmosphere was very nice, a relaxing morning. The staff was outstanding, everyone was very polite, provided great recommendations when asked and we didn’t feel rushed in the slightest. Finally, the food was excellent. I had the Savory Dutch Baby, which came served in a skillet and was absolutely delicious. The side of Cheesy Grits was great! I’m not normally a fan of grits, but this was so tasty I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again.

Food was fantastic. Great blend of all of the ingredients. Executive chef Patrick came out and personally talked about his preparation, which is incredibly informative, he was very open to discuss very enthusiastic about his craft. Will be back soon to enjoy some of his upcoming recipes.

Kinsmith, located inside the beautiful Trilogy Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama, is an absolute must-visit for breakfast. We visited recently, and the experience was truly amazing from start to finish.
Our party of three each ordered completely different meals, and every single plate was executed and prepared to perfection. This consistency shows a real dedication to quality, regardless of what you order off the menu.
But the real star of the show? You absolutely have to try the cheesy grits. They are rich, creamy, and undeniably amazing—easily the best I have ever had. They alone are worth the trip!
If you are staying at the Trilogy or simply looking for a phenomenal breakfast spot in Montgomery, Kinsmith is the place. Highly, highly recommended!

What a wonderful experience. We were in town for a wedding and the chef Patrick was so attentive. Giving us secrets to his batter and checking in on us several times. Tabitha was amazing making recommendations of her favorites and making sure we had what we needed. This is a must stop when you are in town.
