We had an amazing experience here. Starting with the friendly service, food and atmosphere. We started off with the calamari and were blown away by the flavor. Being from India we like food that is spicy, and has lots of flavor. The food here did not disappoint. I had the whitefish sandwich, which again was nothing like I have had before, lots of flavor and toppings. My wife had the curry goat, I was super jealous, that was even better than my sandwich. This place is pretty close to where the ferry drops you off. It is definitely worth coming here!

This is a great place to stop in and have lunch. The food was delicious, and they had a menu that focused on more traditional Jamaican dishes as well as a general menu with burgers and other “typical” items. The selection of beer and cocktails was reasonable and paired well with the assortment of entrees you could choose from. The service was great and all the staff, especially Fredrina, was attentive and helpful. Although, our group sat inside they do provide outdoor seating which looked like the best way to experience your meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for lunch or even dinner when visiting Mackinac Island.

Amazing! We had a wonderful server and incredible food. The bloody Mary was the best I’ve ever had. Loved the chicken curry. Sat on the patio with a wonderful view of the carriages. The island was super busy but we were sat quickly and the food came out fast too. We also had the cheese dip which was fantastic. We will be back during our time on the island to try more!!

Very soft and joyful ambiance, servers are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Food tastes great, and portions are quite large, which is good, considering that the restaurant is not shy about their prices. We had nachos and island chocolate cake and shared it between the three of us, and each one of us was quite full after lunch. Nachos was $22 and the cake was $20 (I know it’s expensive but it is a size of fpur regular size cake pieces) ,so the price per person was okay, but if you are looking for a full meal for each person, you are looking at $25-$40. The restaurant is Jamaican so expect food to be on a spicy side. We sat outside on a patio, decor and music set the mood and helped us to enjoy our vacation even more.

Excellent food. Friendly service. Plenty of food choices with a few vegetarian dishes as well. Don’t skip the fried plantain! The portion sizes are also huge. Tropical juices were very tasty. Overall, a must visit restaurant – a unique Jamaican experience on another unique island!

Kingston Kitchen at the Village is Great. It is one of (if not the very best) the best places on Mackinac Island to get a great meal and some of the most amazing staff. Extremely helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. We absolutely love this restaurant. We will eat here again. We highly recommend this restaurant. The drinks were also amazing.

My husband and I loved this spot. We went for the Whitefish Sandwich which was flakey with a great crust. The slaw was flavorful and excellent. The bun was a good vehicle to hold the sandwich together. We upgraded to sweet potato tots, which were delicious. We also opted for a salad and calamari. All spectacular. Service was incredibly friendly with hospitable smiles. What a sweet find on Mackinac Island.

We went May 20th 2023. It was not crowded and the food was really good and the waitress was very friendly. We didn’t have a long wait to get a table.

Fun, relaxed atmosphere! We ate outdoors and had delicious, authentic Jamaican fare and had a great time with the staff. Monique and Mesh’s were outstanding! The jerk and curry were excellent and, there were many other good choices for traditional Jamaican dishes. Lots of fun rum drinks. And, yes, they have Red Stripe beer. If the traditional fare isn’t your top choice, there are plenty of dishes to suit every palate. Great alternative to the average casual menu.
