The food here was not what we were expecting, but it was very good. The service was a bit on the slow side and not the most friendly ever, but the food made up for that! If you’re looking to try something different on the island, this is definitely worth a try.

Great food! Get the fried pork chop, so good. My husband had the meatball special and it was good but he regretted not getting a Jamaican classic. They had a Jamaican bottled juice that was good and my husband had a rum punch. Great experience and friendly server.

Came in for a quick bite. The coconut shrimp (and the fried onion strings that came with it) were amazing! The guava jerk wings were really good too (beware they pack a bit of a punch).

This place was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Planked Fish and it did not disappoint. Large piece of white fish seasoned to perfection. Crispy baked potatoes surrounding the fish and fresh vegetables. Champagne butter sauce and capers So yummy. Would definitely recommend eating here. We went at around 7 pm on a Saturday night and did not have a wait. The food was ordered, friendly waitress and arrived in a timely manner. We got go see some other customers dinners and appetizers and they looked great too.

I’ve spent plenty of time in Jamaica, and one of the main reasons I keep returning is the incredible cuisine. Kingston Kitchen is genuinely authentic! Their menu is packed with classic Jamaican dishes, offering so many tempting options that enthusiasts might struggle to choose. If you’re new to Jamaican cuisine, you simply can’t go wrong here–I could happily eat at Kingston Kitchen every day.
We ordered the Jerk Chicken and the Planked Whitefish, both dishes were outstanding, bursting with rich, authentic Jamaican flavors.
The service was swift, courteous, and professional. A couple dining nearby was celebrating their 42nd wedding anniversary on the island and mentioned they’d already visited Kingston Kitchen three times during their stay!
If you’re visiting Mackinac Island, Kingston Kitchen is an absolute must-try!

Wonderful place! Awesome patio. We had our dog with us and sat on the patio. The calamari was VERY GOOD! The fish sandwich was also amazing! The chef knows what he is doing. We will definitely dine here again!

If you’re looking for a place to go that’s not like every other restaurant, I would highly recommend Kingston! We had the jerk chicken sandwich, and the jerk fettuccine Alfredo- both were absolutely amazing! Vernon is a phenomenal server, and made us feel so welcomed. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed my experience at Kingston Kitchen. The food was delicious – the coconut shrimp was probably the best I’ve ever had to date! The jerk chicken was very flavorful & loved the plantains that came with (I wish there were more!). Not to mention you get your moneys worth for the drinks. Overall a great place, nice patio with friendly service. Definitely will be eating here again when back on the island!!

Forgive Queen if I state your name incorrectly. Amberee from Ochorios, Jamaica was our kind waitress. The food was great and I as a chef was very intrigued about their ketchup which is made from various fruits instead of the classic tomato base ketchup. I was interested in doing something like that myself because there are people who are intolerant to tomatoes or allergic. Thanks to Kingston kitchen on Mackinac island I will be hitting the lab/ kitchen. It was my mother’s 75th birthday she had not been to Mackinac island in over 50 yrs. It was my first time. It was suggested to go to this place from one of the male boat dockers. It also was a nice choice because my mother actually went to Ochorios Jamaica over 50 yrs ago.

I’ve never had Jamaican food and I’m not sure how it ended up here, but damn is it good. Candise hooked me up with the good stuff: Bammy, tastes like donuts, must get. Got the fried chicken, the bomb. Look at the presentation on this whitefish!!! Treat yourself.
