I visited last night with friends and was served by Shannon who was amazing. She gave great suggestions and service. I ordered the Spicy little Devil (which had the perfect amount of ginger spice I like), Bees Knee (highly recommend, and recommended by Shannon), and 2 of their Irish Whiskey selections. My friends had the Martini, Old Fashioned and Sunset Park. All they raved about. The sunset Park was definitely spirit forward so id definitely suggest it as a sipper but quite tasty. On the other end in the lower level there’s a pizza place I didn’t catch the guys name but he ended up getting us a Pepperoni pizza even super close to closing and was SO nice about it. I felt bad but he was so gracious and sweet. I would definitely love to visit again. Overall very impressed and appreciative of the staff hospitality and menu.

My boyfriend was excited to take us here before a big date. We do not recommend.
– pictures on Google are definitely misleading. This place more resembles a hole in the wall more so than a speakeasy.
– air conditioning on during winter
– our female server was nice enough but someone messed up our simple order of 3 pizza slices.
– when mentioning that to the bar tender bc our server was busy he motioned at us like dogs to hand him the wrong slices. Never apologizing or saying anything nice. He just turned around and left.
– the correct pizza took alost 15 mins to come out, whole the incorrect order came out within 5 mins.
– this place is not worth the time or money and certainly does not give a speakeasy vibe. There is one small room that has 3 seating arrangements where a handful of people can sit.
I would not recommend.
Pizza place downstairs gets 4 stars. Pizza is just decent but the staff were so friendly and sweet.

Delightfully hidden speakeasy. We had a wonderful time sitting at the bar as a group of 3 with both bartenders! I asked for a surprise tequila drink and what they mixed up for me was absolutely what I wanted! Local beers and a nice cold glass of wine too. Will return!

I have tried to get into this place numerous times and usually have no luck because it is usually so packed inside. My wife and I were finally able to get in and find a seat and it was definitely a great vibe. If you have never been here before, you have to go through a legit pizza place and then go up the stairs in order to get into this bar. It felt like a true speakeasy vibe as there was low lighting, nice comfortable seating, great music and just a mature and grown type vibe here. The music was great as it was mostly chill and relaxing r&b. The service was absolutely great. There were multiple bartenders which I am always a fan of, and the bartenders would even come to you to take your drink order and bring your drinks. This was something I definitely was not used to. This place was excellent and was such a vibe.
My only two complaints are that there is very limited seating and space here so it doesn’t take much for this place to get full. This explains why I am usually never able to find a seat here. The second thing I would say is that most of the drinks are whiskey or bourbon based. Now Im sure you can order and request any type of drink as there is a full bar. But in terms of their actual drink menu, it is mostly whiskey and bourbon based.
If you are able to get in and find a seat, this is a great chill bar to go to.

Chicken tenders, jalapeño poppers, and mozzarella sticks. What more could a girl want? A Lambrusco spritz? Yes please. This place is tucked away. It gets kind of dark during the day because they cover the windows but still a good time to forget what time of day it is.

I had a really nice time here last night, the bartenders are extremely professional and knowledgable about their whiskeys! The cocktails were beautiful and delicious of course. Only thing I would recommend is they take a second look at the music playing, I think some lounge or indie music would really tie the whole aesthetic together. Will be back, so glad I found out about this place!

Kings Ransom was a cool cocktail bar. It’s upstairs and has a neat vibe. Wasn’t busy when we went. The website makes it out to be a unique and amazing experience with specialized processes but when I arrived there was nothing like that at all. It was just a regular cocktail bar. Drinks were good but not anything over the top. The bartender was nice but definitely ready to go home as couldn’t find him for a while. Overall a nice place just not as advertised.

Really cool speakeasy connected to a pizza shop in Old Town Alexandria. The decor and vibes were immaculate. I ordered the daiquiri which was great.
Only cons were how pricey the cocktails were & how crowded the small space got. Servers were nice but the service was slow.
Would recommend for a date night but definitely make a reservation as the place gets packed.

Very cool experience! Went on a Friday night and did have to wait for a table. The cocktail choices were intriguing. The decor and vibe of the bar was the best part! Very cute! Definitely worth a visit ☺️
