I was very hungry and wanted soul food. I was told about this place earlier in the year well I guess I waited to long because I was not satisfied first of all my potions were very small except the pork chops I got 2 the rice was mushy sweet potatoes were burnt and cabbage was over seasoned and I had to pay for cornbread for my cabbage

The customer service is trash! It takes so long to get the food and the girl that takes the order in the back has a nasty attitude! I waited close to if not a whole hour for my food and then they had the audacity to have an attitude when I’m asking how much longer would it take for them to get my food. I’ve ordered from here a few times and was never disappointed. That is until yesterday 2/15. I got the Soul Bowl (chicken wing, greens, dressing and Mac and cheese). I asked for gravy on the dressing and tried to order an additional wing. I put my request for an extra wing in the special instructions since there was no other way to order additional items. The second wing I paid $4 for, which was ridiculous. AND they drenched the whole bowl in gravy. The food was a little salty and both wings were tiny. It wasn’t worth my $18 for sure!

Good food, but for the price small quantity. I ordered the chicken wings which consisted of 4, greens, mac n cheese and a side of yams. Decided to go back there for the 2nd time, I ordered the turkey drumstick deluxe they chopped the turkey up real fine so it was most likely a half of a drumstick. I also had Mac and cheese, collard greens and yams, well they gave me a slab and I mean a whole bottom of cornbread, 2 tablespoons of greens, 5 sweet potato yams and a fourth of cup of Mac n cheese. They give you a slab of cornbread to make the pan appear as if there’s a lot of food… I WILL NOT EMBARRASS MY FAMILY, FRIENDS OR PEERS REFERRING THEM TO KINGS KITCHEN. I’ve been here a few times for both dine-in and takeout, and overall, my experiences have been very similar. The food is fantastic and flavorful, I’ve tried the lamb chops, mac and cheese, cornbread, fries, and fish, and everything has been delicious. However, I’ve noticed some inconsistency in the quality at times. Also fair prices for the meals.
The environment is inviting and comfortable, although a few times it’s been extremely cold inside… even the workers were wearing hoodies and sweaters.
My only real complaint is the policy of requiring customers to pay before receiving their food when dining in. I can understand this for takeout, but for dine-in, it feels unprofessional and takes away from the experience. It also discourages me from ordering additional items like desserts or extra drinks since I’d have to swipe my card multiple times. I really hope they reconsider this policy because it’s a great restaurant otherwise.

I had doordashed an order of turkey leg, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and a side of 6 lemon pepper wing. My turkey leg wasn’t a leg but chopped up turkey instead. It was tasty but a bit dry. The collar greens had not a lick of seasoning at all and they were dry. NONE AT ALL!!! Mac and cheese was phenomenal and so were those 6 lemon pepper wings. I would suggest different packaging. Put the collard greens and turkey in a separate bowl because the cornbread at the bottom of the pan is sopping all the juice. I would also suggest seasoning the greens.

I was at the Tyler Celebration & I heard people talking about King’s Kitchen. My friend, Tammy Gandy, sent me the info on the Website. I was in church looking at the pictures& I texted Tammy & asked if we could meet at 2PM. I came from Milwaukee with another friend & was not disappointed. The portions were huge ( I ate off of it for (3) days) & the food was delicious. It was the best dressing I had in a long time. I will be back.

Just picked up an order from here and the lady was very rude for no reason. She asked me to confirm an order and I said okay one minute to check it. She slammed the pick up window in my face. I wasn’t being rude or intended to be difficult but was met with a lady with an attitude. Not a good business, they just want some quick money

I ordered a double meat pasta . The white sauce is canned not homemade I personally don’t like Alfredo sauce that isn’t home made . Shrimp was cleaned well and noodles cooked good .
