King’s Burger is an omage to the old fashioned small mom & pop diners of yesteryear…
The venue feels like its stuck in time; small spot, with not a lot of seating and parking. I think the place is run by a family. Nothing fancy, even the menu on the wall reflects the philosophy. I don’t know how long they have been around, place looks old.
#Brugers:
~ BACON COMBO – 4/5
~ DOUBLE COMBO – 4/5
~ CHEESE FRIES – 4/5
Everything was just as advertised. No frills, simple and tasty.
I usually get the teriyaki chicken number 14 with no salad sub for fries instead. I recently tried their fried chicken and it was good. I think the prices here are good. If you order one of their combo it basically comes with the plate + a drink. If I want to splurge i’ll get the number 14, 2 spam masubi, and a side of fried chicken. If I just want a normal meal I will get just the number 14. I believe this is a family business. If you are in the area and want a pretty decent quick meal come here to support them.
They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Asian dishes. They kind of do it all. Asian run.
I adore the retro burger joint style. Get that nostalgia going. But it’s also very clean… don’t you dare think it’s grubby cuz of the location.
My favorite is simple… the #1 combo meal. Burger, fries, and soda. Add cheese for a few cents more. Exactly like a good ol’ authentic American burger. With a quarter pickle on the side. Crispy fries which I love. It’s not one of those fancy burgers like other joints. I’m not sure if they give drink refills but I’d think so.
I made the drive on my newly repaired car to keep testing the starter I replaced by myself earlier that morning, and man, was the drive worth it. I drove back home and tried that #4 burger, and dang, the piles of hot meat and melted cheese, that juice and grease really satisfied my errand hunger! The chicken teriyaki plate was all right, though. Of course, the burgers are what the restaurant is best known for.
Although it’s far, I am willing to go try them again if I’m in the area!
