The food was good, server was kind. My issue is I ordered two of the entres and asked for no mushrooms and it was clear there was no attempt to remove them. The attached picture is all of the mushrooms I removed. Again it didn’t take away from the quality, it was still good food.

Kingpot is a somewhat authentic Korean restaurant, that said, it brings the flavors of Korean food to the masses and it’s very delicious! I would suggest trying the kimchee and bean sprout salad to truly get a more authentic experience.
The are menu items that you can purchase which are not “all you can eat” but most people will be attracted to the AYCE section of the menu.
I won’t got into the fine details of the system and how it all works, but suffice it to say that the food is good and there is a lot of it. The meat is really excellent quality and some of the grilling meat is marinated which makes it particularly delicious. I would recommend the bulgogi and the spicy chicken.
If you are feeling more like seafood, noodles, and veggies I would advise you do the hotpot. Veggies don’t really cook well on the grill and depending on the cuts of meat you order it can take a while for them to cook. But then that is really the point of this kind of place, to take your time enjoying your company and eating together for a couple of hours. Like having a slow indoor BBQ.
Keep in mind you will leave smelling of meat and will want to have a shower and wash your clothes (unless that is your eu de perfume of choice). Also I wouldn’t advise this as a place for young kids or babies to eat unless you are ordering from the set menu cooked in the kitchen. Happy eating in any case!

Having many hotpots and Korean bbq in Asia, I have to say this is fairly authentic. The hotpot broth had 6 options and we tried 3 of it, tomato, chicken and pork bone broths. The meat selection for the hotpot is limited but there are plenty of vegetable, fish cakes, meat balls and other things from the bar. The meat selection if about more and I think is the star of this place. You can try either hotpot or Korean bbq for $25 or both for $30. I’m actually more of a hotpot guy but for this place I’d recommend doing the Korean bbq instead. If you prefer the healthier option then it’s the hotpot and you won’t regret it either.

The food is great! Atmosphere is awesome. The design is a little off. Our waiter was awesome. Only issue was you get 3 meats at a time, which is fine because you have literally no room if your a group but then the waiters need to come back more often. We sat for long periods of time just waiting to get more meat. And if your a big group and everyone wants to grill, get 2 tables because the seat i sat in, I would never be able to reach the grill. Next time we will have to separate our family so everyone can use the grill. We will definitely be back. Such good food

The tables have very little room for cold items (vegetables, noodles, and sauces). The BBQ is quite good, while the hot pot leaves a lot to be desired.
We got to dinner at 7:30 pm and had a 45-minute wait.
If we go back, we’ll only be doing the BBQ and not the hot pot as none of us cared for it.
The service is not very good, and they are terrible at explaining how to do anything. We didn’t get drinks refilled, had to ask for bowls for the hot pot, and rice.
The BBQ is very good.
Update: The BBQ is great! We had a great server (Maddie), and the food was great.
Update: Dinner tonight was awesome. We opted for the BBQ, and it was really good.
We ordered the Beef Bulgogi and Sirloin. It was very good. We made lettuce wraps with rice and the meat in side the lettuce. It was a very nice experience.

Update: We had the best server, and excellent food.
Update: our server, Will, is amazing. We love to sit in his section. Tonight we ordered our fill of meat and vegetables.

Been here 3 times and each time has been better. While I’ll say the waiters kind of expect you to already know what to do but when questions are asked they are helpful. They do have suggested cook times taped to the wall but really if you don’t know how to properly cook food I wouldn’t recommend a place where you have to cook your own. The meat selections are great the spicy broths are delicious I will say after we were there for about 2 hours we did feel a little ignored but I don’t blame them we were kind of eating them out of house and home but they never made us feel unwelcome with their attitude and continue to bring his food.

Edit: Cal is an amazing server. He is very helpful and skilled at his job. He checked up on us a couple times to make sure everything was okay. He was very quick and made sure our experience was excellent.

The beef tasted very good and was very easy to cook. There’s a huge selection of sides and sauces that you’re able to choose from. I also enjoyed the self serve ice cream for dessert. It’s an awesome location because we don’t have to drive to Salt Lake for Korean bbq anymore. Will definitely come back!!!

The price is reasonable for BBQ+individual hotpot. We had pork bone broth, tasted is fine. Beef brisket is good for BBQ and hotpot. Short ribs yummy. Vegetables, seafood and sauce bar is good, they also have ice cream bar. Service is super nice very friendly and take care well. Only thing need to improve, it is too hot inside. I had drink tone of drink to make myself better. There is hot air coming from stove and feel hot too. Beside the room temperature, overall is a great place for family, friend hanging out or date night.

First off. We really enjoyed and would go back.
The Good
– seated quickly
– large selection of veggies, sauces, and side meats
– the Bulgogi was marinated and seasoned very well
– the food was excellent
– our waitress was super cool
Things You Need to Know
– you cook your own meal at your table, so the speed of the meal is almost entirely upto you
– Korean flavors can be very strong, if you are not accustomed to Southeast Asian foods.
– thus is not an eat every day establishment. The cost of the meal is more than your average meal (I was very happy to pay… I thought it was an awesome treat)
– this is meant to be an experience to savor slowly, set aside time for it
– there are a wide assortment of sauces fornthe food, all sorts of flavors… and some you will find enjoyable, others will not be to your taste (I did not enjoy them all, but that’s to be expected)
The Negatives
Honestly, I thought long and hard about this.
– my son (who is fairly new to Korean flavors) thought the sauces were a bit strong for him (he’s young, he’ll learn)
– literally the only negative I could come up with is opinion based. The only onions available were sliced white onions. The flavors of red would compliment the meat flavors better… but that’s not even really a negative comment.
The short answer is, I though this was an excellent experience, I completely enjoyed the food, and I will go back.
