Really hard to find an Asian restaurant open this early for breakfast around Boston. This place opens at 5 a.m. daily, and I’ve stopped by a couple of times on weekends for hangover meals.
They offer a standard menu with items like pho and grilled pork chop plates, but there’s also a hot food station where you can choose from various veggies and proteins. Everything is fully set up by 5 a.m., so I’m not sure how much is cooked fresh that morning. Still, since most items are either sautéed or sitting in broth, nothing tasted off.
There are no dish descriptions though, and with limited English from the owners, it was tough to identify what some of the items are. A few were obvious like the pork knuckles and spare ribs, but others were hard to figure out. The spare ribs were my favorite so far, and for around $12, you get a generous portion with rice and soup.
Wouldn’t necessarily come here during regular meal hours, but as an early-morning option for a hearty Asian breakfast, it’s worth keeping in mind.

I truly am transported back to my childhood at my Vietnamese friend’s house with her grandma making me lunch. The portions are so generous, the seating is very nice for a “fast food” setup, and the ladies working are so kind and hospitable. I always crave chao ga in the winter and they always come providing a delicious bowlful. I keep coming back for the service, they make sure the white boy knows how to garnish his chao accordingly haha. So glad to be close to this place.

My new favorite place for Vietnamese comfort food! They sell everything from banh mi to noodle soups for an extremely affordable price. They have some of the best egg rolls (2/$3) and bun rieu
Honorable mention for their avocado smoothie, love the balance of avocado to milk.

I had Cháo lòng here! It was a little bit salty for me but overall it was authentic.

Very authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Having just returned from a 5 week trip through Vietnam, the flavor of this bún riêu and bun Bo hue was identical. Good portion size with a small amount of mắm tôm on the side. The amount and variety of greens on the side is a bit less, but that’s fine for me. Be aware though that the English menu only has common items like pho and banh mi. If you turn around they have the full Vietnamese menu with less known dishes, which I ordered from.

I think King Do Restaurant has the most expansive menu of all the Vietnamese places that I have been to. Certain foods like bánh mì are made to order, but there are also pre-made foods and desserts on display for purchase and a restaurant menu.
I ordered the Bánh Mì Bò Nướng (Grilled BBQ Beef), which was a great deal for $7. Note that there is a $10 credit card minimum, so bring cash. The bánh mì was cold, so I toasted it when I got home, and it tasted delicious and was filling.

Had the chao long and the bun Bo hue. It tasted very homemade and was enjoyable. Waitress was so sweet. What a great store for banh mi and to sit down and eat too. Very fair prices and you only see Vietnamese people here so it’s legit!

The coffee smoothies and food are absolutely delicious. The flavors are fresh, well-balanced, and everything is prepared with care. A great spot to enjoy both a meal and a good cup of coffee!

One of the better Vietnamese restaurants open early enough for morning folks. Their food is great! My favorite is Hủ tiếu Hoành Thánh. Since they relocated to a new space, the atmosphere and layout is much more inviting and lively.
