Reviews
My husband and I went to King Wah and it was honestly a really disappointing experience. My husband first ordered a Sierra Mist that tasted completely off — like the syrup or CO₂ was out. The server replaced it with a Pepsi, but that one tasted just as bad, so clearly something was wrong with their CO₂ system that no one checked.
Our food came out and wasn’t good either, but what really stood out was the lack of service. Our server checked on every other table around us but never once came over to ask how we were doing or how the food was — only to ask if we wanted boxes at the end.
When we went to pay, three servers were standing at the counter gossiping and laughing instead of paying attention to guests, which came across as very unprofessional. To make things worse, my dad’s soup was missing from his to-go order.
As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I get that bad nights happen — but this wasn’t just a bad night. It was careless, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic hospitality. Really disappointing, and we won’t be back. Management needs to have a talk with their servers about professionalism and connecting with their tables.
Soup was amazing, wouldn’t order the pot stickers again.
I’m not sure what happened, but the food is lackluster at best, stale at worst.
The chow mein is just flavorless vegetables, mostly bean sprouts, with stale canned (dried, snack mix type) ‘chow mein’ sticks under the vegetables.
The rice is decent, chicken is crunchy but some pieces are drastically saltier than others.
Maybe it’s under new management, I don’t know.
The food is the best priced in town, and plenty for leftovers, even with the amazing lunch special!
