The King Tide’s vegetable tart is the food I crave most in this world. It is absolutely perfect and worth the drive from Portland! Everything at the bakery is delicious, and I do mix it up with fruit tarts and sweet buns and ham and cheese croissants and the like, but there is nothing like the veggie tart! Formerly Pacific Way Cafe, this little gem of a bakery is back under its original ownership with the most delicious treats imaginable. Come early as there is usually a line and some of their signature items sell out quickly – but leave at least one veggie tart for me as I’ll be back tomorrow morning!

We drove 60 miles to try out this bakery and the food (maple cinnamon roll and pecan sticky bun) was just ok, not bad but not great. The service (young lady behind the counter) was exceptional, she really made the visit worth it. Not much seating, but love the small town atmosphere.

This place teleports you straight to France!
Their pastries are Bakes every morning by the owner herself! They do sell out pretty quick! Our Latte was delicious too! Will be a must stop every time we are near the area!!

Such a cute bakery! We were staying nearby and made a point to stop in for a few pastries and coffee. The cinnamon bun and almond croissant were both so yummy!

What a delight! Got there right after opening, and only waited a few minutes to order. We bought a maple cinnamon roll, Good morning muffin, chocolate croissant, nectarine danish, and a marionberry scone. Everything was great!
The cinnamon roll was super fluffy- almost like brioche? The muffin was cake-y and moist but not oily. The scone was crumbly and the perfect amount of sweet (my kids noted that marionberries taste like blackberries with bigger seeds). The chocolate croissant was crispy on the outside and melty on the inside. The nectarine danish had a sour/bitter note my husband didn’t love (probably just what baked nectarines taste like haha), but nobody else minded.
We bought five pastries and split them each five ways. Yum!

Best muffins on the beach! And I’ve tried quite a few. Particularly with the closure of the Dough Dough bakery in Seaside, this will be my go to bakery on the northern Oregon coast. Coffee drinks / espresso drink wasn’t bad, but you come here for the baked goods. And you leave pretty happy. They don’t distribute, so you have to come to Gearhart, which does not have a lot of dining options like the towns just south do, but this place is worth the detour.

Exceptional bakery! We got a mix of pastries- all of which were top notch (the raspberry pistachio danish holds a special place in my heart) and the coffee is so tasty too. If you come to Gearhart you gotta stop by

Lovely atmosphere and delicious pastries. My wife said it reminds her of Paris, but we’re in Oregon!
