Dari’s Passport & Plate
A decent spot for Pakistani/Indian snacks or a casual breakfast. The place has a lot of options to choose from, but unfortunately some items weren’t available when I visited.
I really wanted to love their halwa poori, but it was extremely oily. The chickpeas and potatoes were literally floating in oil, which made it hard to enjoy. Their chai was actually good and probably the highlight of my visit. Overall, it’s ok for a quick bite or chai stop.

Loved stopping by here to get some dessert and chai. Cool spot to sit and talk with friends. The area is busy and this place does get a lot of foot traffic but it’s definitely worth it. The person taking our order was also super helpful with what we wanted and let us know the chai was being made fresh.

Trust me ladies and gentlemen, I visited Chicago for the first time in my life as I’m 18 years old. I felt hungry around noon and decided to eat something, so I went to King Sweets. From the very first moment, their staff was really kind. Half of my hunger vanished because of their manners. Their management was superb, especially the guy named Mr. Shahid—such a sweet boy. He treated me like we had known each other for the last 100 years.

A humble request to everyone: whenever you visit Chicago, please visit King Sweets. I’m confident that Mr. Shahid will welcome you warmly. Now he is my friend too because I even took his number.

Moreover, the whole staff is truly appreciated. Thank you so much, King Sweets, for making my visit special. Keep up this hard work.

I recently tried the Kashmiri Tea at King Sweets and was thoroughly impressed. The tea was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with subtle notes of cardamom and nuts. Crushed pistachios and coconut added a delightful texture and enhanced the traditional flavor. A must-try for tea lovers.

Crowded and less options. They are not quick service provider but they have some good stuff but pricey. I tried their sweets. I’m recently tried their Jilebi and Carrot Halva. Did not get authentic taste.

One of the best Samosa in Chicagoland area. Great place for breakfast. Love their paratha and halwa puri.
Update: delicious paratha (muli, alloo, keema, cheese) and goat paya was outstanding.

Bought vegi samosa cooked well from outside but inside just stuffed with boiled potatoes and spices. Also bought a roll and I still honestly can’t tell if it was beef or chicken it tasted so bad. I had upset stomach after eating that roll. Please have all these desi restaurants to cook them fresh. Please don’t buy pre cooked snacks. It’s not worth it. Very unhealthy and disappointing experience.
