Amazing food in a relaxing waterfront location. Lobster rolls and street corn were to die for & deep fried Oreos – so addictive. The rolls came with a side of extra butter sauce which was nice. Service was outstanding, staff made sure we had everything we needed & came by a few times to take away any trash we had. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

I traveled to King of Lobster because I saw on Facebook that they are family owned. I love to support local businesses!
First off the location is beautiful! They have very nice tables to sit at while you eat. While eating you can watch the boats pass on the water!
I decided to try an Illinois Lobster Roll with Mac and Cheese! It was out of this world! The lobster was not dry or fishy. The bun was perfectly toasted! The Mac and Cheese was so creamy!
They also have hot dogs and burgers for those who don’t like seafood!
This place is definitely a hidden gem in the Fox Lake area!

7/4/24 – You want the best lobster in lake county, you’ve found it right here!!! They ship their lobster daily and have the best quality lobster! Try the Illinois, but you can’t go wrong with New York! I’ve had lobster in Boston, and this tastes like I was back on the east coast as they do ship them in from Boston. I highly recommend going here and you won’t be sorry. Very friendly staff, family owned! The signs help you find the place and it’s a food truck! You can even bring your boat up to the dock and place your order. They will bring you the food when it’s ready, which doesn’t even take that long. They ship their buns and seasoning from Boston as well.

First impression was great. They had no customers when we floated up, so two of them came out to help us dock. The lobster rolls were tasty and generous unlike some other places I’ve tried that tend to skimp out. They had multiple customers by the time we left. We’ll be back!

Tried them for the first time today. Didn’t even know the place was in town for 2 years. It popped up on my cell phone while searching for something. Had an errand in morning and stopped by after they opened. There right on the water is nice as you watch the boats go under the bridge. Had the illinois lobster roll and it was fantastic and Got the street corn also . That was good also. The staff was very friendly and came out to my table to check on me and offer to throw my trash away. Nice little gem on the water. Will DEFINITELY be back.
