This is by far the GREATEST restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. And believe you me, I’ve eaten at a lot a restaurants across the world. Nothing has compared to King Gyros. And I’m not just talking about all the King Gyros across Fort Wayne, no no, I am only talking about the one on Goshen. I live closer to both of the other restaurants but they pale in comparison to the Goshen Gem. What inspired me to make this review was actually because I went to the one in downtown recently for a quick bite and I was so appalled by how bad it was, that I felt immediately grateful for the Gift of the Goshen Gyro.

This has been my place for years. From the conversation I had as a kid where I learned how babies are made, all the way to the times where I’d try to cure my depression with a Chicago dog, this place has been my spot. I’ve always told people that if I was in a sitcom, this would be where “the spot” is. Kinda like that one coffee shop in Friends.

But my undying love for King Gyros on Goshen Road must’ve came from somewhere. After all, how can a regular person like me have such an obsession as this? Well, let me tell you. They earned it. Piece by piece, they won my heart, and my stomach. They serve great portions (something to keep in mind, King Gyros on Jefferson. My large fry was not up to the Goshen standard. ). They have amazing customer service. And their prices are just unbeatable. How is a beef and sausage this cheap in this economy??? I don’t know how but they do it. I’ve just accepted that it’s manna from heaven.

Anyways, this place is great. Highly recommend. All hail the King Gyro!

I’ve been here twice now and both time were good. I’ve had the 1/2 pound burger with fries and the ribs with fries. Great spot, friendly staff and great service. We will be back to try more things on the menu.

Not too bad. Bbq sauce was good, rib tips had more fat than meat. Gyro meat was kinda dry.

Goshen Road is so good! The gyro plate was huge and lasted for an extra meal. The onion rings were great too. I got half chicken and half regular- both are excellent. We like that the seasoning isn’t overpowering. We also like their taziki sauce. Staff is really friendly there. We like to take the car ride out to Goshen Road for the best gyros in town.

I’ve never been to King Gyros but I’m glad I finally tried it! I got the Breaded Pork Tenderloin, which is an odd voice for a gyro place, but it was probably the best I’ve had yet! It was so tasty and juicy! And the fries were nice and crunchy and so were the onion rings! I will definitely go back to try the gyros for sure!!

Another hole in the wall location that is surprisingly good! And staff has always been friendly and polite. That’s really important to me these days. But it’s not just the gyros. Their tenderloin & their chili cheese dogs are soooo good! Their wings however, really need work. They had no flavor and were over cooked. And, naturally, the gyros were excellent! The gyro dinner platter is enough food to feed two people.

EDIT 7/14/25… every time I come here I’m expecting the best but I also know every shop has down days. They just do. From produce delivery issues to personal issues whatever the case may be. But man, I’ve yet to have a bad or even mediocre experience here!

I’ve saw this place many times but after a great review I saw in food group I finally decided to try it myself.. YOU GUYS! This place is so good! And the amount of food you get for the price is bananas! I was a little apprehensive about how long it was going to take to get an order when I pulled in bc they were pretty busy. 3 cars deep and I only waited maybe 10 minutes? I bought the gyro plate with an extra pita (your gona need it!) and the gyro fries. I had enough food to eat on for 3 days for $22, and a drink. The amount of food and quality was quite surprising actually. I have been to the one on Jefferson and it was not the same store on any level in my opinion. This is a great little shop I’d recommend it over any other gyro shop I’ve found so far in Fort Wayne.
Edit:
This was so good I went again today and got both the gyro plate(11.99)and the “jr” gyro(4.99) and AGAIN I was impressed with how much meat was on the Jr! For less than a BiGmAcK?! At this point I think I will use this for some meal prepping that’s seriously how much meat and ingredients your getting. The staff has always been kind and fast and friendly. I haven’t been inside yet but will update my next visit

I love this place. I can only speak to gyro plate because it’s the only thing I get. Thou it’s the best in Fort Wayne and I always get one when I’m on vacation. I really should try some of the other thing they make.

I’ve been to both locations in town thanks to our local friends. They are consistent at both locations with their varied and delicious menu. Their chicken and lamb gyros are where it’s at!!! Fries and stuffed mushrooms are both fantastic sides.

Loved their ribeye sandwich and quick service. Others in our group had the soup flight for the Savor Event in Fort Wayne and they loved all the soups they tried and they wished they carried the soups on a regular basis…just a thought…lol
