The food has absolutely no flavor. The chili tastes like tomato soup with gound beef and a dash of bbq sauce and tobasco. The macaroni and cheese has absolutely no seasoning what so ever. I see little specs of black pepper but good luck tasting it. Would not reccomend especially for their prices. If ypu order from here; better ask for salt and pepper cuz you’re going to need it.

The food surely isn’t what it used to be. The cheese biscuit was an absolute mess, wrapped in paper so thin it had holes all in it. No chance of keeping the biscuit together. Then hoping the little pies would save the day but nope, pecan pie was burnt & chared on top and the sweet potatoe had a soggy bread type crust. Very disappointing, should’ve stopped at Poorman’s or Mom’s Grill

Had my first ever cheese biscuit! Born and raised in southeastern NC and have had buttermilk biscuits all my life, but never a cheese biscuit. I must say though, it was surprisingly good. Tasted like they used hoop cheddar, which was good. I got a breakfast platter. It was average, nothing memorable. Husband got a 2 piece chicken dinner. The chicken leg had no seasoning, the thigh was seasoned well, very odd. Sweet potato pie was great and had a smoother texture than what I’m use to, but I really liked it. Staff was friendly, pricing was very affordable and one of our cheaper meals while visiting the area

I chose to go there after failing to find a good location for a breakfast burrito. Got there and one staff member was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She joked about a personal matter which occurred the previous night and that she had been up way earlier than she should have for work.

I decided to try something which I’d never had, a cathead cheese biscuit with egg & porkchop. After adding some salt and pepper, this biscuit was delicious! The chop was so big that I had almost eaten the whole thing before I realized it was not boneless. The two things I didn’t like was that this one biscuit cost me over $10. The other thing is that their menu does not list prices which is very important to most customers. I spent a lot of money for just a breakfast biscuit and had to order completely in the blind. Although I knew I might get shocked because of a previous experience a year or so ago when I ordered the same type biscuit with steak instead of porkchop and had to pay over $12, they should give prices on their menu.

I can’t say enough nice things about this establishment!! From the service to the food to the location, everything was absolutely WONDERFUL! Well worth the drive for all these goodies!! We ordered a 4pc Fried Chicken, Chicken Livers, BBQ, Slaw, Hushpuppies and you have GOT to try “Granees Homemade BBQ Sauce” (they sell it by the half pint). All food is cooked to order, but the short wait is well worth the taste and quality. They are reasonably priced and the establishment was very clean and plenty of parking and TONS of menu options from Breakfast foods, Chicken, Seafood, Homemade Cheese Biscuits, Desserts and more, they also offer daily specials Monday through Friday. They have a very extensive menu, and being my first time here, they were very patient and kind to me with all of my questions and made great suggestions! This is a complete 5 star experience and we will be back! Please note: this is take out only. Also you can check out their full menu online.

This place is absolutely amazing! I can’t even begin to describe how sweet and welcoming the staff is. Since it’s my first time here, I had no idea what barbecue chop was. I asked, and they kindly offered me a small sample to taste. It’s not a dish I’m familiar with, and I didn’t end up ordering it, but they were totally fine with that.

We ordered a 4-piece black chicken dinner with onion rings and okra. The chicken is amazing! It’s not like those fried chicken dishes with overpowering flavors; it’s all about the delicious taste of the chicken itself. The meat is incredibly fresh and juicy. The only downside is their food box; since the food comes out hot, it gets a bit moist inside the box, which is probably why everyone enjoys their food in the parking lot.

The fried okra is really good, but there’s so much of it that we had to save some for tomorrow. ️

When it comes to their chicken, if I were to rate it, I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5. But their fried flounder? That’s a solid 10 out of 5! It’s absolutely amazing, and my friend and I actually prefer it over their fried chicken. Who would have thought a fried chicken drive-in would serve such delicious fried flounder!? It’s perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and incredibly juicy and tender inside. We seasoned it with peppers, and it was fantastic even without any sauce. ️

Underwhelmed by the portion sizes-we thought food was missing because the bag was so light. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and french toast, I wish the description said french toast sticks or I would have ordered more for my kids. Also my sandwich was on the wrong bread (ordered white hot wheat). The orange juice is also just bottle of Tropicana, even though the photo showed a cup of fresh OJ. Pretty disappointed! Staff was nice and order was on time.

King chicken, Little Washington North Carolina, very friendly customer service very informative, due to the fact I didn’t quite know how to order from this restaurant seeing that it is a carry-out restaurant. Very extensive menu for a soul food restaurant. Looking at the building you would be turned off by this restaurant. I have lived in North Carolina for 24 years I have driven past this restaurant 20 to 30 times in those years. And never considered stopping there until now. They have wonderful Fried Chicken outstanding onion rings, edible hush puppies, for North Carolina I have to honestly say the collard greens could use some help, so yeah if you happen upon this restaurant take on the offer of great Fried Chicken. But after talking to the employee she informed me that they are honest claim to fame what’s a cheese biscuit that they no longer offer.

I got the fried chicken which I thought was good but not anything out of the ordinary. I did like the fact that the chicken was nice, hot and seasoned! Barbecue could have been better. I tried the corn nuggets and those were pretty good. The coleslaw was okay and the hush puppies were subpar. The sweet tea is amazing!! The people working there were also very nice and friendly. Not a bad place to stop in little Washington.
