The place was clean, the food was ok… some food was definitely better than others. The sea food was overcooked. It looked better than it tasted. Very open spaces with plenty of tables. Lunch was fresher an less likely to be overcooked than dinner was.

This is one of the least expensive “all you can eat” type place in Reno these days. I was looking and I didn’t notice even one fly which tells me that they are properly cleaning but my server who is supposed to bring drinks and take away plates asked everyone around me if there was anything he could do for them but the only time I made eye contact with him he gave me a dirty look and said nothing to me. To top it all off I left my prescription sunglasses on the table accidentally and they disappeared. Hopefully they don’t just end up in the garbage because they are “blurry”. The girl that I talked to when I called 5 minutes after I left said that there were no sunglasses and no one that works there had any idea about what happened. Interestingly the entire dining room is monitored by video cameras so me not being able to find out what happened to my sunglasses is unacceptable. I have a feeling that the “server” knows what happened.

I wouldn’t recommend going before they close because some of their food looks like it’s been sitting all day. I had a difficult time communicating with the two girls who were cooking my chowmein because they were unable to tell me what sauces they were going to put in my dish. A customer had to translate for me in Spanish. They need to have staff who speak English especially when we’re wanting to know what dishes or sauces they are using because a person with food allergies must be able to know what’s in the dish and it’s hard if there aren’t labels for each dish and nobody who speaks English to help.

Even with the bad reviews I wanted to try this place. Was pretty amazing but I did go when they first opened up at 11.

GROSS! New to the Reno area and I love a good Chinese buffet (I’ve been to over 10+) , so I decided to try Kings Buffet and must I stay I WOULDN’T FEED THIS TO A STRAY DOG. I spent $18+ to choke down 2 pieces of meat. The food was extremely old even though I went during lunch hour and not many options. The restaurant was empty (no surprise) and the waiter was holding my glass cup by the rim of the glass instead of the sides which was weird. I’ll never return.

My mother wanted to go here for Mothers Day. We were charged for an extra soda and never received our water. They charged extra for Mothers Day and did not have anything different on their menu! Nothing special about the experience. The line for the buffet was long and they tuck crab legs off into a deep corner so you really have to stretch to reach them. The crawdads were flavorless.. unless plastic is a flavor. Sushi was warm. This wasn’t the first time going there because my mother liked them but this is the first time my mother has agreed that we will not go there again. I’m grateful for that. For what we paid, we could have had a better buffet or even a good steakhouse. It would be great if they labeled their dishes so people with allergies could avoid potentially danger situations but like I said, we won’t be back so the point is moot for us. Hopefully no one else has an issue.
