The food was not great, but was hot. The grill where you pick your meat and veggies and they cook it for you was actually VERY good. All chicken dishes were dry and fatty. Sushi was good. But then one of the servers walked by and looked at me in disgust as if she was thinking “I can’t believe you are eating that.” 2 of the servers, young man and woman who look like they are in a relationship, seemed to be talking about patrons eating something nasty. The vibe “at times” was off. Other than that the servers were friendly. I’m not sure how EVERY worker is Asian. Which statistically stands out as an outlier chance given the size of the establishment. No black or white workers. I understand it’s a chinese restaurant, even with that being said, for about 20 workers that I saw, all of them being Chinese is kinda strange…the silverware wasn’t clean, but not that dirty. They were washed, just not that well. The patrons were a large amount of elderly people and children. So for them, I’m sure the food is great, but if you aren’t old or a child, you may be happier at panda express. Overall okay experience, didn’t hate it but won’t be back either ‍♂️

What i liked about this Chinese buffet on Thanksgiving 2025, was the vermicelli rice noodles and other staples, very flavorful and aromatic with rice wine in place of salt. Plenty of fresh fruit! Fresh foods beat artificial yeasts to naturally break down meat/ seafood and helps with regularity to prevent indigestion and COVID. Americans won Guinea pig for world’s fastest eaters, finished meal in less than 30min… Fast food restaurants diners left in 10min lol. We should sit more than standing for health reasons, unless wore heavy bottom shoes. Everybody knew that, but those labor force workers stood and walked long hrs with low paychecks… They were the ones spraying contagious body odors sadly.

Bathrooms are filthy. Who would find this acceptable.

Food is good, some chicken obviously stayed from the night before as was tough and dry for our early morning lunch.
Place is clean
However-the staff stares, almost glares UNTIL you want something like chop sticks or if you have a question
It took quite a while to be able to take a pic without direct looks.
We even moved positions at the table.

Adequate parking
Handicap accessible
Bathrooms clean

Downhill quick and a jiffy. Used to be a family go to. Went there other night.
100% certain got food poisoning from the grill where you take raw food for them to cook in front of you.

I should have listened to my gut when I noticed it didn’t seem like the cared where they put the spatulas and on food. I would be surprised if at least 15 ppl a day get cross contamination from this.

The other food was less than 6 out of 10 for quality. Looked to be sitting around a long while. Dessert was the highlight but not enough good to ever make myself or family to come back.
Do better King Buffet!

Food: Huge selection of food! They have what your regular town buffets have plus more. Tons of seafood and dessert options compared to others. Sushi made fresh with the right ingredients. We enjoyed tailored plates in the Hibachi Grill as well.

Service: Our servers were friendly. Cleared out plates timely.

Ambiance: Bring any type of crowd in. Family, friends or kids. Not fancy of course.

Value: Prices were reasonable.

This is probably the best Asian Buffet I have ever been to. Being someone with dietary restrictions. I have never had someone care so much and take care of us over and above. The manager that was there took care of us and made sure there was no cross-contamination. I wish I had gotten her name she was amazing and such a blessing. I would give more stars if I could.

Sadly, this place has really gone downhill; sushi had been sitting out so long that the rice was crunchy, muscles had turned completely grey, the cocktail shrimp was mushy, and the octopus salad was the consistency of rubber bands. This used to be one of the better buffets, and still has a lot of options, but they’re clearly leaving the food out way too long, and the quality of the preparation just isn’t up to par.

Hey, there are two Chinese buffets in Colorado Springs, but the King China Buffet on Galley and Academy is the best one, in my opinion.

They have a wide variety of food, from American to Chinese. And the best time to go is on Saturday or Sunday, when they have seafood like crab and oysters. The price is a bit higher on those days, at $19.59 per person.

I like the King Buffet better than the Ultimate Buffet on Powers. Highly recommended.
