This place has some interesting mixing between southern bbq and Chinese street-style food, both in what we ate and also in the vibe of the restaurant itself (Chinese decor with twangy country music).
Our favorite was the wonton soup. The broth was light and flavorful and “homey”. The bbq rice was very good as well, especially with the 5 spice chicken. The duck was good, but we didn’t care for the Dan Dan noodles as much. It’s a fun place to try if you’re looking for something different.

Update: Giving I truly loved the crispy pork I did go back again. This time was worst. First bite and all I can taste was burnt and very salty and oily. I spit it out immediately. After going here so many times I just cant no more. Sad to say it but the once flavor it was is no longer. I even asked if they had a new cook. Sad to say no they did not. Added the 3 burt pics and it took over all the flavor. Just burnt
After ordering for 3 days straight the crispy pork belly this is the 1st time it came so little. My kids will walk up the street and pick our order up. This time was the 1st time they said this was 1/2lbs. We typically will order 2 separate orders of 1/2lbs. We also order the ribs this time. The food was good just this time the crispy pork belly was not 1/2lb. We felt like we was short and we can’t let restaurant remake a order because we all know ppl dont take kindly to that and with being said it will be the last time sadly .

My wife and I loveKing BBQ and Jackrabbit Filly. It’s so different from any other BBQ place you’ve ever been and it’s so flippin delicious. The food is always delicious and today they accommodated a request that was not on the menu. In my opinion, King BBQ is so underrated. This is the kind of meal you wish for that really hits. Like coming home.

Very pleased with experience:
Service is super enthusiastic, helpful, friendly, clearly the staff are big fans of the restaurant and want patrons to be happy.
Atmosphere is very pleasant-edgy: really upbeat atmospheric world music in background, at right volume; interesting modern animated features on TVs behind the bar, so would have been interesting even to sit at bar alone; lots of comfortable booth seating; bar has wonderful funky old-chinese-restaurant vibe.
Food: 2/3 excellent: chicken was SUPERLATIVE, incredibly moist and perfecty seasoned. Roast Pork Belly while pricy was also perfect, fatty and crisp in the best ways. Ribs were beautiful but sadly way too salty, drank half a gallon of water after eating.
Summary: I will go back any time for the chicken and pork belly.

The atmosphere is fantastic, think NYC Chinatown BBQ spot and southern counter style BBQ restaurant had a baby.
The rangoon dip appetizer was great, and there’s a small (but varied) selection of beers and cocktails. We each tried the noodle dish, which we found to be a great value for the portion.
We sat at the bar for full service dinner on a Thursday night, we walked in without a wait. There’s plenty of parking in their lot as well.
If you’re looking for traditional southern BBQ, this isn’t it, but it still hits all the high notes. Excited to go back and try the duck service

This place has been abuzz since it has opened so after months of waiting for the opportunity I finally gotten a chance. And if you like Jackrabbit Filly this place has the same modern asian mixed with the local vibe. As a barbeque restaurant it’s very good, with their tangy spicy bok choy and the super savory collards. Over steamed rice these two alone are some of the best vegetable dishes I’ve ever had. My personal favorite were the collards. I got the Pork combo which came with a couple of spare ribs and pulled pork. The ruby red spare ribs had a little pull which reminds me of times I’ve been out in chinatown Frisco with their traditional BBQ rib fare. The pulled pork was so delicious, nothing like any pulled pork I’ve ever had in the south. It is uniquely in its own class. Not quite traditional SC mustard pulled pork, not quite the tang of east NC, not quite grilled moo shu pork, but a very specially blended and prepared meat dish. At that point I knew I must be back to try the other dishes. Like I mentioned earlier as a BBQ it’s very good, but as a Chinese restaurant it’s by far the best in town. Thanks to chef and owners for finally filling the gap in this town.

King BBQ is a creative joint that serves Asian and low country fusion cuisine. Some of these flavor combinations were out of this world- the corn pudding being one of my favorites. You order at the counter and they bring their food to you. The atmosphere was wonderful, everything was made very well. My only critique is that the collards were a touch salty, but other than that I felt like these dishes capture Asian “mala” spice very well and had a great southern twist. Their drink menu looks so fun too, will definitely come back again so I can try them!

Absolutely incredible experience at King BBQ!
It was tough to choose just one dish because everything on the menu looked amazing—so I’ll definitely be coming back to try more. I ordered the Mop Sho chopped smoked pork, and wow—what a standout! Perfectly smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. A must-visit spot if you love Chinese fusion and BBQ done right.

Made the trek for the Josh Allen-tine event, only to find out that there wasn’t one. Decided to stay for lunch and ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and Fried Ribs. The Noodles were great but the ribs were ice cold. I asked to have them warmed up and the kitchen showed me! They were so overcooked that I couldn’t cut them with a steak knife. The crowning event was to listen to the bartender and a server talk about my friend and I. Well done.
