Absolutely loved our experience at Kindling! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting – such a cosy but elevated vibe. You can really tell how much care goes into everything here.

The food was incredible. Everything tasted so fresh and full of flavour, and you can tell the ingredients are top quality. Each dish felt thoughtfully put together and beautifully presented. It’s one of those places where you’re already planning what you’re going to order next time before you’ve even left.

The staff were attentive, friendly and made the whole experience feel special without being over the top. Service was smooth, relaxed and professional.

Definitely one of the best spots in Brighton – can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing food and a lovely atmosphere

Had the pleasure of celebrating a big birthday here. It was an incredible meal. Brisket and jalapeño croquettes and charred corn with siracha mayo was amazing to start. But the best to come was the bavette. Such an under rated cut but cooked perfectly its delicious. And oh my …….cooked to perfection in front of us over charcoal. One of the best steaks I have eaten and that’s a lot. The pictures of the food speak for itself but I would definitely recommend the place and will definitely visit again when back in Brighton. Thanks for making it a memorable night !!

Food was SO GOOD. Booked a reservation for our anniversary on valentine’s day and just dropped by an hour early to check if there was any availability and they were kind enough to get us seats. We got a sirloin and ribeye at well done temperatures, and a steak sandwich with a side of fries and some drinks. Amazing service. A tad bit pricey but totally worth it cause of the delicious food. Great for a date night/celebration, but I’d recommend going on a weekday when there’s less crowd + their lunch deal is on. Was a bit noisy but the food and service made up for it. Very kind staff

Chic, elegant and sophisticated. The food is exquisite! Customer service is impeccable. Beautiful, clean and elegant restaurant well worth visiting. We were lucky to get a table on NYD before we left Brighton.

There is a kid friendly menu which in my opinion could do with some improvement. The main menu is very good. We ordered, courgette & Feta fritter served with a Tzatziki sauce (OMG) and had sirloin on the bone to share with sides of creamed spinach and skinny and sweet potato frites. For sauces we had peppercorn and chimichurri (amazing). Taste of the food was absolutely devine. Thank you Chef .

It’s well worth the visit and we will definitely revisit when we are back in Brighton.

I think the best streak in Brighton. We’ve been four times, waited to review, great each time.

Really well priced and amazing steaks. Friendly, knowledgeable, service.

A London chain had opened up nearby. In London, they’re a no brainer. In Brighton, go local and independent.

Open kitchen, the counter seats are fun, the chefs serve you if you’re sat there. Nice wine list. Well priced by the glass.

Our best eating out experience in a long time. The food was amazing and great value for money. The red wine we chose was 10/10 and a great price. The staff were friendly and helpful.

What a great little place! Looks unassuming, understated decor (except for the hop bines full of lights in the ceiling!), open kitchen, lovely staff who were knowledgeable and helpful, so lots to recommend it even before we get to the food!

My only very minor issue was that the delicious fresh bread was cold, maybe if it had been warmed a little that would have been perfect. The corn ribs were the best I’ve ever had, really tasty!

The steaks were cooked perfectly, the accompanying sauces were absolutely spot on, and the sides were out of this world! We had creamed spinach and macaroni cheese with my wagyu and my wife’s sirloin, the perfect amount to share.

The cocktails were really good too, so if you’re in Brighton and you fancy a great steak in a lovely place with a delicious cocktail, this is the place for you!

My husband and I had our first visit here last night for our anniversary. We both agreed that it was the highlight of our mini holiday in Brighton! Every member of staff is beyond welcoming, polite, and attentive. The food itself is like nothing else — absolutely delectable. We ordered the mid-week sharing platter and we could not believe how incredible everything it came with was. Each of the sauces we got (chimichurri, four peppercorn, and mushroom) really elevated our already incredible steaks (and lamb). The value of the sharing platter is really great as well. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting. At the end of our meal, we were given an anniversary plate with delicious chocolate truffles on it, a gesture my husband and I found very endearing. You seriously will not be disappointed. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to return the next time we’re in Brighton! ☺️

We visited Kindling for a birthday meal and were thoroughly impressed. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff were attentive and well organised. We shared the midweek special platter, which was delicious and great value for money. Highly recommended, we will definitely be returning.

Let me start by saying the food was very nice, the service was very nice, and the atmosphere was very nice. Cutlery, crockery and glasses were clean.

The Sunday Roast menu has a sharing roast for two, unfortunately there is no flexibility offered or alternative single roast option. The solution offered was to order a separate steak and additional sides, but the sides on the menu were not roast sides so the three of us ended up ordering Mac and cheese as an additional side and begging them for an additional Yorkshire pudding, which they obligated.
