Steps from the Guthrie, Miles from Flavor

We started with the fried spring rolls—crisp but unremarkable.

I ordered the pineapple fried rice with pork. Unfortunately, the pork lacked any seasoning, as if it were an afterthought rather than an intentional component of the dish. The rice itself was similarly underwhelming—even the cashews were bland, offering no texture or flavor to elevate the experience. It felt as though the entire dish hadn’t even been introduced to salt.

My dining partner had the pad Thai with pork, which suffered the same fate: flat, flavorless, and uninspired.

While Kin Dee boasts a convenient location near the Guthrie, it falls short where it matters most—on the plate. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal before a show, you may want to look elsewhere.

Being fair, we went at a very busy time, which probably impacted the service, but it took a while to get our order put in and took a while to get the check.
However, the food was excellent and the prices were high, but not outlandish. I paid the same just yesterday for food that was half as good somewhere else.
The patio seating was lovely and the pineapple fried rice was amazing. If you’re needing a light meal near The Guthrie, its a great option.

Even after seeing so many one star reviews I tried this out because my wife recommended and to my surprise I had good food. Not sure why they got low ratings.

The food was put on table really quick and it was delicious. I liked each and every item we ordered. There is no one item that would go less on taste. We ordered tamarind wings and they were delicious. Fried rice was spot on and drunken noodles were amazing. stir fry cashew chicken was exceptional, there was some gravy in it and I loved it. Fried spring rolls are a must to try.

The only point I would raise is- entrees portions were small compared to the price. But it’s downtown restaurant and inflations is high so who knows. But overall this is a must try restaurant.

The location of Kindee is perfect for so many who want to see a show at the Guthrie, especially if you need to eat gluten-free! They have so many options on their menu for Gluten-friendly, and everything was delicious! I enjoyed a small teapot of jasmine tea with my mee gati and my husband enjoyed the massaman. My dish was loaded with tasty ingredients on a pool of broth. The broth had just the right amount of spicy kick to bring the flavors to life without overpowering my palate. The massaman was also a touch spicy, but with an interesting sweetness like brown sugar inside! I think we need to keep showing this little restaurant some love because we will definitely come back!

I’m always down to try another Asian restaurant and this place doesn’t disappoint. It’s right by US Bank Stadium, so its an easy lunch spot before a game or concert.
My pad Thai didn’t have a ton of flavor, so not sure I’d get that again. Otherwise they should offer spice levels with it. The drunken noodles were delightful.
The cranberries wonton were huge and great, need more cranberries!
Refills were tough to get sitting out on the patio.

Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this place! Excellent Thai tea, the best cream cheese wontons I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve eaten many!), and the green curry fried rice was to die for! Everything we ordered was great, alongside quality service and an atmosphere that was lively without being too loud. Solid 5 stars!

Emily was great! She kept our waters refilled consistently and served us with a smile as well as helping us answer questions to certain dishes. Food was affordable. Place was excellent. All the dishes were exceptional!! Definitely do try out their curry and their wings!! <3 Oh! Emily even placed us right next to the outlet wall as well!! We were both super low on phone battery after a long photo shoot that day which was just excellent!!

I had a scrumptious and comfy lunch at Kindee Thai Restaurant with my family A short walk from the Mill City Museum. There are clean and spacious bathrooms to the right of the entrance door. Large vegetarian selection.

I ordered Pad Thai and it matched my taste buds! My mom ordered level 5 spicy green curry and she absolutely loved it—just the right amount of spiciness. Quite obviously, buying an iced Thai tea is a must everytime I go to a Thai restaurant (because Thai teas can do no wrong). I’d say their Thai tea was okay, nothing out of ordinary.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars.

Food was absolutely delicious, took a little while but you know it was made fresh and we were given the heads up. It was well worth the wait. And our server was attentive and very sweet!

Note to self: don’t be the last table in the restaurant. Went there tonight as the area of town is dead and not many choices. They almost did not seat us as they said they were thinking of closing early. But sat us as they loudly stacked the remaining outdoor tables. Took a long time to get menus – which does not make sense – if you want us out of there we need to order. We had fried spring rolls which were ok and then I had a curry soup, which I asked to be mild – ended up being not very tasty. But the more I ate, the more I liked. Not what expected as could not taste coconut at all and light on curry. But to be honest, I ate it all. My husband had the Thai basil stir fry and did not love it. So, we had to search for a replacement dinner on the way home to our hotel in a part of town that the streets roll up at 8 pm. Had a better dinner there once before. Crossing off our list.
