I hadn’t been on Main Street EG in awhile and things have changed. One of those changes was Kind Spirits, a pleasant surprise. Be sure and check it out. Don’t let Alex get lonely. We stopped in for early cocktails and snacks on a Thursday. They have a good selection of tequila and mezcal since it’s a Mexican restaurant. The margaritas are really tasty. We got two snacks, a chips and cheese (like nachos), and a crunchy shrimp taco. I will definitely get more of those tacos. I enjoyed the time sitting at the bar with many friendly people enjoying the atmosphere.

I hosted a birthday party last weekend. Jay and his wife opened the space to my family on a Sunday afternoon.

It could not have gone more perfect! They even helped me unload the decorations in the snow! Not that we needed decorations- the space is colorful and newly upgraded from its former Kai Bar heyday. We rented a photo booth and it was such a hit.

The food was awesome- presentation, timing, upkeep, portion, and quality were exceptionally executed.

10/10 All of my guests were impressed and said they’d be back. Run dont walk to Kind Spirits!

Kind Spirits in East Greenwich is an absolute gem. The staff are incredibly attentive and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Service is consistently excellent, and the bartenders are truly creative—especially with their standout margaritas and craft cocktails.
The limited food menu is intentional and works beautifully; every item is fresh, flavorful, and clearly designed to enhance the overall experience. The taco selection is fantastic (don’t miss the half‑price taco hours!), and the bites, bowls, and desserts round everything out perfectly.
Their tequila selection is one of the most impressive around, with thoughtful offerings and knowledgeable staff who can guide you through it. If you enjoy tequila or craft cocktails, this place is a must-visit.
A top-tier experience all around—highly recommend.

After a disappointing experience at another bar/restaurant just down the street earlier in the evening—where we ended up leaving without even being served—we decided to change course and stopped into this bar/tapas lounge. I’m so glad we did.

From the moment we walked in, the difference was night and day. We were greeted warmly, treated with genuine kindness, and the service was efficient and attentive without ever feeling rushed. The staff was respectful, welcoming, and made us feel like valued guests rather than an inconvenience.

It completely turned our night around. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and the whole experience reminded us why we love supporting local spots.

As locals, we really value being able to patronize businesses in our community, and places like this make it easy to keep coming back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality—we’ll definitely be back.

Replacement for Kai Bar (1 of the same owners) – building is now black! INCREDIBLE drinks, fun (but boisterous @6pm) atmosphere, and mediocre food. Recommending to go for drinks, but not food. Overall good pricing.

All food under salted, and some seemed day-old (eg shrimp pico, rice in burrito). Chorizo taco unfortunately tasted like ground Slim Jim beef jerky sticks. Pork & chicken tacos good w/ extra salt. Shrimp burrito tasted stale (tortilla, beans, rice, pico). Salsa from chips & salsa (no charge for extra salsa) was good w/ added salt.

Drinks were AMAZING. Best was Anticuado, but House Margarita, Cool As A, & Agave Cooler were great as well.

1 of our 2 servers, Melissa, was wonderful. Regulars (carry-overs from Kai Bar) were quite loud and vulgar – don’t bring your kids.

Pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed Kind Spirits. We tried going on a Friday evening. We enjoyed the new exterior and interior of the building, Quite a transition from the torquise of the Kai Bar. Black is the prominent color and Day of the Dead is the prominent theme that is played up with a fun and cool vibe. We were equally impressed with the drink menu and the bartenders take pride in the drinks. Food also scored well. Tasted fresh and a decent portion. The prices are fair, they are not raking you over the coals. Finished off with the churros which were really delicious. Service was another home run. The wait staff were on point and seemed to take pride in working there. Looking forward to bringing friends there next time and putting Kind Spirits on my short list of Go To places.

I’ve been a longtime fan of Kai Bar, so seeing the transformation into Kind Spirits was incredible. The new space has an amazing vibe and ambiance that feels warm, stylish, and instantly welcoming. The lighting in particular is really cool and adds a lot to the atmosphere, making the whole place feel even more inviting. I tried the tacos and queso dip, and both were excellent. The service was outstanding, and everyone working there is top notch. They make you feel right at home the moment you walk in.

The drinks are creative and delicious, with a huge selection of spirits, so there is truly something for everyone. If cocktails are not your thing, they have a solid variety of beer, wine, and hard seltzers or cider. And if you are not drinking, their mocktails are just as impressive.

Any time I am in East Greenwich, Kind Spirits will always be a priority stop for me. Cheers to the entire team, keep doing what you are doing. See you soon!

Kind Spirits is truly one of those rare places that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. The owner and staff go out of their way to make every visit feel personal—they remember your name, check in with you, and genuinely care about your experience. It’s the kind of warm, welcoming environment where you can relax, have fun, and feel taken care of.

The cocktails are eclectic and totally unique to the vibe of the place—creative, fresh, and always delicious. Their Mexican cuisine is just as impressive: everything is made fresh, full of flavor, and consistently tasty. They’re also incredibly accommodating, which makes every visit easy and enjoyable.

Overall, Kind Spirits is a must-visit spot. Whether you’re stopping in for a craft cocktail, a great meal, or just a friendly atmosphere, it’s one of the best places around. Highly recommend!

Foodies listen up. The menu is small but mighty. Absolutely delicious food. The chicken quesadilla will ruin chicken quesadillas for you forever. Tacos are amazing. It’s the kind of delicious that has you recreating the dinner scene in What About Bob?

Drinks are on point as always and I’m so happy to see the massive improvement in the wine list. Staff is amazing as they always have been.
