If you’re looking for Thai food in a pinch, this place will do. The restaurant is centrally located in South Surrey’s Grandview Heights shopping district, which is convenient.

I’ve tried both the green and yellow curries, and I find them overly sweet for my taste. They also use dairy cream instead of relying entirely on coconut milk, which takes away from the authenticity. This is definitely more of an Americanized version of Thai food — if that’s what you enjoy, you’ll probably like it here.

Personally, I prefer a more authentic Thai experience, like what you’d find at Lela Thai.

This was extremely disappointing. The food here is not Thai food . The flavors were completely wrong and nothing tasted authentic.

Yes, the restaurant looks nice and the staff were polite, but that doesn’t matter when the food is fundamentally incorrect. You go to a Thai restaurant expecting Thai flavors, not a badly misinterpreted version of them.

I honestly don’t understand how anyone familiar with Thai food could enjoy this.

I hope the kitchen takes this as an opportunity to revisit proper Thai recipes and improve, because this place could be much better .

Ps. First time of my life, seeing Pad See Ew with onion, bean sprouts, and cilantro

We had a great time at this restaurant. They had a TV for us to watch while we ate our food and the server was very polite and attentive without being too overbearing. The food was delicious and fresh. there were lots of different colours and flavours .The atmosphere was nice and clean and chill. Great if you like spice!

Have ordered here for years.not happy with this last time. Pad thai had only sweet flavour -no depth of flavor, green curry was……not green curry and was curdled. Spice level 5 had the same spiciness as mild salsa. On our first time here the pad thai had a good sear and flavor. This is our second poor experience this year. Done for good now.

The food was high quality and delicious, just a bit salty. The service was good and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable, though not very fancy.

Update: I have always loved this restaurant but last time we were there they disappointed us. We were there at 8 pm and restaurant closes at 9pm…. Usually last call an any restaurant is between 30-45 minutes before closing. But at 8:05 the server informed us they are closed, which I find very strange and odd..

And for the time before we were there, they took forever to bring our food and drinks, we made no fuss and we liked the food there, but everytime we visit we have seen a downfall in their service.

I have been in south Surrey for a while and I am absolutely devastated to have missed this place for so long. I love Thai food, but some of the places I have tried in the past have been a bit of disappointment.

It’s a nice cozy place with and amazing ambience. Service was very good.

We tried their lunch special menu , entree came with a side of spring roll which is a nice touch.

Chicken Pad Thai – it was delicious, we chose level 3 spice but we could have turned it upto 4 easily.

Chicken Gaeng Kari – Just amazing, I had a cold that day and honestly from now onwards this is going to be my go to comfort food. With a perfect balance of spicy and sweet from pineapple I can eat it every day. Though I could have upped the spice level a bit.

Definitely worth giving a try. I know I will be back for sure.

Visited the restaurant with friends tonight for a birthday celebration, dined in, the food was excellent. Started with an appetizer of spring rolls and ordered peanut sauce – perfect. We had the chicken pad thai, sweet and sour shrimp and yellow curry, all delicious. Service was excellent. Lynn the owner stopped and chatted and sent over a birthday treat for the celebration. Thank you it was memorable.

We got take-out. We all liked the Gaeng Daeng chicken curry the best – it was fragrant and rich. I loved the bamboo shoots in it. The prawn Pad Thai was yummy too – some may find it to be ketchup-y but I like ketchup so! There was also a surprising amount of prawns! The beef Pad See-Lew was our least favourite – it was a bit too dry and the beef was overdone and dry. We got level 2 spicy and it was perfect for us – a good spice level if you like some spice but don’t want it to be overpowering. We also got a jasmine rice and coconut rice. Total was $72 for three adults. Good portions. Because it’s a heavier meal, we had leftovers for one person to have another meal. Overall, would come again, especially for the curry and pad thai. My friend really likes Thai food and didn’t think it tasted authentic so do with that what you will. I personally enjoyed it for what it is and its accessibility in this area.

Some minor things: we checked and saw that we were missing our rice and when we told the staff, they said it was in there. It was not in there lol, but they didn’t believe us? The food is not packed well, the different boxes will easily topple over while driving – disaster if any of the soupy things spill.
