I was very surprised and happy when I first saw some hometown food from this shop. I decided to order a 3 choice plate. They gave me too much white rice and very little meat and vegetables. After I finished all the meat and vegetables in about 30 seconds, I decided to add one more choice , but they told me I need to pay $10 extra to one more choice. I was assuming all Chinese are good at math. Obviously, that Chinese lady is an exception. I would never come back again to this restaurant.

Lady who help me, was very unfair and rude!! I ordered a container of chow fun, and it was not fun and I chow it down still hungry, cause the server fluff the noodles in container like it came full but it was a rip off. I push the noodles down a little in the container it was half full. I will never go there no more. Bad business!!! I also bought 1/2 lbs of roast pork and char siu. I ask for mustard, she just gave me a tiny container that would not last for the meats to dip. Hawaii people and visitors beware of the fraud, that this business do. Kin sun is bad news!!!

Down home Chinese fast food. I’m no expert on what qualifies as “authentic Chinese” but this certainly did not feel like Americanized Chinese food. We ate Jai, egg fooyun, with white rice. Very tasty. The server was energetic and entertaining while making helpful recommendations.

Pretty good food! I recommend the eggplant, deliciously flavored. They had a variety of dishes that you can pick from. Char siu pork, duck, turkey tail, chow fun, etc.. no bathroom, plenty of parking, CASH ONLY, they are also open during Thanksgiving. Support local!

Edit: they now accept all types of payment.

Manapua was inedible. (Literally – we threw them away.) Dry as dust. Gau gee was well stuffed but stale and barely lukewarm. I ate it anyway. Roast pork was delicious but not good enough to excuse the rest.

Nostalgia! Fried rice tastes like same recipe when I would buy the pint as a kid, with Char siu, peas and carrots and egg. I didnt realize it, but this has been my baseline fried rice to judge all other fried rice❤️ Pork hash wrapper was a little thicker than I’m used to, but the filling was so good with the hot mustard. Nice size gau gee as well and the stuffed bittermelon was delicious! The lady dishing up the orders was pleasant and kind. Can’t wait to go back for more.

I ordered off the steam table. Kau yuk, roast duck and chow fun. The lady was unwilling to chop up another duck as the remaining pieces on the steam table were from the duck’s back — bony and tough with very little meat. The kau yuk was also tough and flavorless. It should’ve been very tender and taste of star anise and five spice. The chow fun was the only dish up to par. My fault for getting the duck leftovers, but they should have been willing to replenish the steam table.

Great place for takeout although they have a couple of tables for eating there. It doesn’t have much decor it’s a hot table where people come order roast pork or duck… even turkey tails or a plate lunch.

I was hopeful after reading reviews but the fried rice and chow fun had a funny taste and the sweet sour pork was all fat and gross so we couldn’t eat any of it. The roasted pork was good, not too fatty and had a nice crust. Everyone was very nice and courteous. I really wish the food had been better.

Walked in at 645pm on a Friday night and it was obvious the food was not hot enough to be served. I have over a decade of managing restaurants and so I put my hand in a area where it should’ve been too hot to keep my hand there if it was the proper temperature but I was able to keep my hand there on the metal for however long I wanted. Every bit of this food was a bed for bacteria at the temperature it was kept at.
