We booked this place but didn’t realise that it was a set menu for 50€ person but it was ok, we still decided to try it out !

Many choices and food was great but I gave 3 stars because it’s ridiculous that almost most dishes requested 5€ extra person , which was way too much honestly, so if we ordered dishes with beef, it’d have ended up 70€ + maybe per person, that’s the price for a decent fine dining almost .

I won’t recommend to go for this reason but if you don’t care spending this much on regular Thai food restaurant, then just go ahead !

Good ambience and service. Appetizers were 5/5, while the main dish & curry were just too salty.

We had:
Papaya salad 5/5 – perfect flavor; not salty / sour like some other places make it

Chicken satay skewers 5/5 – tender meat

Pork egg rolls 5/5 – crispy, and not greasy

Salmon red curry 3/5 – too salty, ruined the dish

Spicy pork belly 3/5 – too salty, crispy spin was good but rest of pork meat was a bit chewy for my liking

Would still recommend this place while dining in Gent.

Honestly, this is hands down the best Thai food in Ghent.

The fried chicken is super crispy on the outside and still soft and juicy inside.

The pork larb tastes just like it does in Thailand proper Yasothon style, with crispy pork skin mixed in. So good.

The papaya salad hits all the right notes spicy, sour, sweet, salty. Perfect balance.

And the stir-fried mussels with curry paste? Absolutely delicious.

Great food, great service, and such a warm atmosphere. You can really taste the authenticity.

Tried to go for lunch but unfortunately it was closed , so we walked around the beautiful city and came back for dinner. I’m so glad we did .
The service was brilliant very welcoming and friendly .
The cocktail menu was short but they got it right, the drinks were perfect.
Now the food was genuinely so good. Ive gotten to know Thai food quite well and this was the best I’ve had. Everything was perfectly balanced. The salmon tartar was refreshing. The pork belly was delicious, the short rib massamam was full of flavour.
I can’t rate this place enough.
We were in Belgium for 5 days and we had a lot of good food but this takes the top spot.

The structure they have of the menu is really well done and the portion sizes make it worth the money .

Thankyou

Wonderful authentic Thai flavors! We walked in with no reservation on a Monday evening and were seated right away. The menu is a bit funky with their base pricing of €50 per person PLUS additional cost on top of certain dishes. As long as you are prepared for that additional cost it’s all good. Service was prompt, bathroom was nice, a little cramped seating wise but overall I’d definitely recommended it.

This was our first destination during our time in Belgium and I would say my favorite out of all the restaurants I visited in Ghent (or Lisbon) during the two-weeks abroad. This place offers a sharing-style menu selection which are sure to satisfy. We had the following:
– Chicken satay skewers with cucumber salad: Never tasted anything like this at any of the Thai restaurants I’ve visited in the US. We appreciated that they provided some bread pieces to scoop up the phenomenal sauce they prepared.
– Shrimp donut/croquette: Very unique and satisfyingly dense! The chili sauce is definitely not something you get in to-go packets.
– Glass noodle seafood salad: very refreshing along with the freshly made green sauce which was very well put together. I think you’ll enjoy the squid and octopus!
– Red curry salmon: I don’t know what they did but this really tempted us to come back. It had such a great melding of all flavors: sweet, sour, salt, but nothing too overpowering. Highly, highly recommended.
– Crispy chili chicken: At this point we were so full, but we managed to finish this dish as well I don’t know how the crispiness managed to persist being glazed in this sweet and spicy sauce, and the chicken itself was so soft.
– Mango mochi & sorbet: Reasonably portioned given how much food we had, which we appreciated.

I really don’t know how I could say they can improve. We loved every bit of it! When we visit Europe again. We’ll have to make a trip especially for Kin Khao!

The food was really delicious! the place is small and has a nice atmosphere. The service was a little slow, they forgot our drinks twice, I ordered a cappuccino and got a regular coffee. Overall it was a good experience

Has to be one of the best Thai places we have been to, so far! The prawn salad and the pork salad have been such amazing surprises. We have also loved the salmon , pork belly main dishes.

So far we have been here two times, and I wouldn’t mind coming here again!

We tried coconut icecream during 1 visit and another time we tried mango sorbet and this was sooo good!!

Loved the food.
Loved the Grüner Veltliner.
Friendly staff. A bit in a hurry but it was very busy and I understand they want to get the table free for a second service.
Nice place.
Suitable for vegans too!
