Reviews
Every dish is carefully crafted, not only delicious but also visually stunning, making the dining experience feel special. On top of that, the desserts are exceptional. The owner personally makes them, and you can really taste the love and passion in every bite.
What makes this place even more memorable is the kindness and warmth of the owner — genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. This restaurant is a perfect combination of outstanding food, beautiful presentation, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Thai flavors with a creative twist. ✨
I usually don’t like overly sweet drinks, which makes me love their Thai tea and matcha even more — perfectly balanced. Also, don’t miss their taro cheesecake; it’s absolutely worth it.
Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!
Recommend for groups between 1-4. Menu is in the process of expanding as the place has just opened.
Ordered the Ube Matcha drink as a starter, and LOVED how strong the ube was compared to other places who sell ube drinks (but get little to no flavor). Definitely a staple to order from here!
I got the garlic pork plate as well as the chicken satay appetizer. The chicken was very tender and juicy and the serving size for the meal was great for the price. Brought home the vegan Pandan cake as well; enjoyed it but wish the pandan flavor was stronger instead of only tasting the vanilla portion of it.
Definitely would try again, especially want to try their noodles next. I have high hopes for this restaurant.
The atmosphere is lively— modern, clean, spacious, and airy. It feels fresh and welcoming (though it was a touch chilly because the big front door was left open during our visit).
Service was shockingly fast — almost the moment you finish ordering, food starts arriving. Our server/host was super helpful when we asked about vegan modifications. Nothing is obviously “vegan” on the menu; most dishes default to chicken, pork, or shrimp, and a few contain egg, but most are marked as possible to do as vegan or vegetarian —they’re happy to swap in tofu and guide you.
We started with the Kin Dee summer rolls and the curry puffs — both marked vegan and excellent. The peanut sauce with the rolls was addictive, and the curry puffs were perfectly flaky and flavorful.
For entrées we got the vegan Pad Thai and the crispy garlic tofu (served with gorgeous blue rice). Both dishes tasted great. Only complaint: the vegetable quantity was pretty skimpy. The crispy tofu came with literally four small broccoli florets, and the Pad Thai had just a few bean sprouts and green-onion garnish. We were really hoping for more veggies.
They offer chili oil on request — it’s seriously spicy and comes on the side, which we appreciated.
Overall, Kin Dee earns a solid 4 stars from us. It’s not a dedicated vegan restaurant, but they clearly accommodate vegans well if you speak up. With more vegetables in the mains it would easily be a 5. Definitely worth trying, especially if you’re in the mood for fresh, fast Thai.
There specialty drinks are so pretty. And tasty. I got the kindee summer roll. The peanut sauce that came with it was ok. Its good but like cant say it’s sooooooo good like some ppl have said. Reviews from some foodies here in Tucson definitely made my expectation to be a lot higher for them but it wasn’t as expected.
Anyways, I also ordered the massaman curry with chicken. It was a bit watery which I think killed some of the major spices used in this dish so it wasn’t my favorite. I also got the kurah gai noodle which was actually the best dish we had. We each ordered our own n some but we all shared. This noodle dish has the flavors between pad see ew and pad kee Mao. It was good. From a friend, she says her pad thai could’ve been a bit more spicy or something. It has more of a sweeter flavor to it. But to me it was more sour. I dont know why. The other friend got the khao man gai. To me it was ok too.
Our server was super nice n sweet. Super polite and respectful.
The place wasn’t too loud. There weren’t many ppl there when we were so seating was not an issue.
We also tried their pandan layer cake. It wasn’t too overly sweet so that was good.
Overall, this place is ok. Cute little restaurant and nice staff. Would I come again? Maybe, only cause its far from my house. We went straight from work which is closer to it.
Everyone’s palate is different so to some this place may be really delicious but to me, I cant say that. So I do advice you to give it a try for your own experience and review.
As a Thai, I would recommend Khao Man Gai (Chicken over rice) as the dish is as authentic as if you were to go have them in Thailand.
Desserts are homemade and usually not listed on the menu. So, please ask a host/hostess if you want some after-meal desserts.
Their current menu (October 2025) is still relatively small as they have just started, but I have learned from the owner (Khun Nhong – พี่หน่อง) that she plans to expand it later. I am excited for what will be added! And maybe you can recommend her with some of your favorite Thai dishes next time you visit Kin Dee Thai.
The only downside was the service. When we asked for recommendations, our server wasn’t able to suggest anything, possibly due to a language barrier. We also weren’t checked on at all after our food was served, and we had to wave someone down multiple times, even just to get the check.
Overall, the food and atmosphere were excellent, and we’d definitely come back, I just hope the service improves a bit.
My girl is vegan and she got the kruah gai noddles with tofu, curry puffs, Thai tea and the mango sticky rice.
The curry puffs were fantastic. I would absolutely order. I thought the noodles were okay but she enjoyed it. She did mention the portion was smaller. She got her Thai tea with coconut and it was so refreshing with great flavor! I had never had mango sticky rice before but it was interesting. I didn’t know it was warm but the rice was delicious. I believe it’s their pandan infused rice used in this dish. Delicious!!! The mango was also ripe.
