Interested in trying Burmese food? I was! I believe this is a family restaurant. This is the kind of restaurant I love trying. The lady was very polite and friendly. Place was clean. Family restaurant. You know the restaurant is good authentic food when the customers are their own countryman. Food was good! I will be back.

Me and my family love Kimu. The foods are delicious although it can take longer than usual. It gets very busy and packed. I like their ramens and noodle salad. Sometimes papaya salads are good, but sometimes it doesn’t. I guess it’s also depends on the chef. They usually have only one waiter of waitress. Other than that, the environment is presentable and clean.

The moment we got in, we seat ourselves, we grab the menu ourselves. We tried to make eye contact with the waitress but was ignored two times. We order tea leave salad with white rice and Shan noodle but it’s turned out salty and not tasty at all. Both meal come with side soup and there was no flavor in it. The waitress did not ask for if we want a drink or nothing. We have tell the waitress that we want a water and we have to grab chopstick and straw ourself. We not going back. It was not a good experience.

A surprise gem! This is a small, laid back restaurant that has a variety of Japanese ramen, pho and Burmese cuisine. Service may be a bit slow due to the staff size but food is delicious and comes out fast. We will be back to try the ramen!
FOOD
I ordered the Samosa appetizer which is savory and crunchy. They use several layers of the wonton skins fried for the outside and inside was potatoes and onions. That paired with the sweet chili dipping sauce was a smash, esp at 6 samosas for $3.
I also ordered the Kye oo, which is a rice noodle soup, like pho, and it comes with quail eggs, meat balls, sliced meat and a few veggies . The broth was savory and meaty, and I added a bit of hoisin for my preferred taste. Size was generous as typical of pho.
ATMOSPHERE and SERVICE
The place is small, one room with long tables spanning across the middle to accomodate larger parties. There is a large tv mounted to the wall where they stream music videos (American pop) and in this case we heard songs from The Weeknd and Billie Eilish. They have a restroom in the back and there was one waitstaff who was serving all the tables and handling takeout orders on the phone. She was friendly and efficient. There were about 3 tables of people when we arrived around 6:30PM and we were the last table there, leaving around 7:30pm.
UPDATE: Visited again! I tried their beef ball pho and it was delicious. Broth was great! They did have odd Burmese(?) church-type music playing. The waitress who helped us was nice.

The food was reasonably good and priced well but not nearly as spicy as I had hoped. I ordered “extra spicy” and had to get a side order of fresh chilis just to get any heat at all. But the flavor was good otherwise. The service was poor which is why only 3 stars. Could not get refills and did not receive the check so we had to go ask for it. I’d go again but would be aware that I won’t go when I’m in a hurry…

Absolutely love eating here. Kimu advertises their ramen specials out in front but truly excel in their Burmese cuisine. Their desserts are absolutely divine as well, balancing just the right amount of sweetness so each bite is amazing. Prices are extremely fair as well!

My husband and I loved this hidden gem. When we walked into this Asian restaurant there were mostly Asians dinning there (we always consider this a good sign). I don’t remember what my husband ordered, but I LOVED my ramen bowl. It was a huge portion that I could have split with another.
Ate here the other day and both of us LOVED our food again. Always so flavorful.i had the goat biryani. I preferred my ramen from the time before, but I like ramen more in general, just wanted to try something new.

This is a nice little Burmese restaurant that has also had a few Chinese, Japanese and other dishes. The Raman is pretty good and so is the Super Soup. The prices are reasonable and serving are pretty big.

I order food here and they forgot a dish but charged me full price! $55in total for a entree and two soups! And the portions was small! Low effort staff. They fail at service and attendance to food orders.
