I just ate lunch at Kim’s Sushi in West Orange, N.J.
I had Miso soup, Seaweed salad , the house salad with ginger sauce, Valentina Tuna Belly Special Roll, Spicy Crispy Crunch roll and orange sections. I am so glad that I was really hungry. Everything was superb. Mouthwatering delicious. The food was great and the service was friendly and excellent.
I highly recommend Kim’s Sushi.

I love coming to Kim’s Sushi! Hands down the best sushi in NJ and the service is always incredible. My favorite is the Zensu Roll and Crazy Spicy eel (don’t worry it’s not crazy spicy, just crazy delicious!). The hospitality is unmatched, the waitresses are always so attentive and polite and the chef usually sends over a complimentary item with your meal in addition to the complimentary house salad and miso soup served to guest at the beginning of your dining experience!

I’ve been buying sushi here for a while, and they were not bad. However, today I placed an order, picked it up in 15 minutes, and it was terrible. Honestly, I’d say that sushi from Whole Foods or King’s at the end of the day would be better than what I received from Kim’s today. Did you change chefs? The quality seems to have dropped significantly. The pieces were all different shapes, fell apart easily, the rice was dry, and the fish didn’t taste fresh at all. The only good thing was miso. I spent $89 and ended up with a stomach ache. I’ve recommended you to my friends and neighbors, and now I feel I need to apologize.

I was with my nephew, who’s new to the area and can eat! We ordered 6 different Chef Special rolls and they were ALL so good! Fish was very fresh. Service was amazing. The staff was very attentive. The establishment was very small and quaint. I was visiting and this was some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while. I know my nephew will be back!

I used to live in West Orange, and Kim’s was mt go-to spot for amazing food. I moved a few hours away and just came through NJ. Stopped off for a deluxe sashimi platter and a quick bite at the sushi bar. Amazing service, hospitality, and food. The quality and presentation of their food are amazing. They packed my order up on ice, and the family was able to enjoy an amazing meal at home.

Truly took this place for granted when i lived in West Orange. The sushi here is one of the best i’ve had from their regular rolls to their speciality rolls, i believe there isn’t one bad thing on the menu. Each time i try something new and im never disappointed. They also offer you miso soup salad and a complementary roll can time and some orange slices to finish off the meal. Can’t recommend this place enough.

So so friendly and delicious! I’m not a fan of seafood so I just recently found a love for vegetarian sushi and I loved the options at Kim’s! My husband and I actually liked it so much we went back the next day for takeout. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They have such a great variety of sushi rolls and vegetarian options. My husband was obsessed with the spicy tuna roll and spicy crispy crunchy tuna roll. I tried a variety of options including the sweet potato roll, tamago, A.A.C roll, and Kelly C roll. I enjoyed watching the sushi chefs hard at work. I was amazing to see how fast they were. The resturant itself is pretty small and they have outdoor seating too but I would recommend arriving early or making reservations ahead of time because it gets super busy on the weekends. The pick up order process was pretty organized as well. I was very happy with how they packaged and separated everything. I can’t wait to come back and try more options!

My husband and I come to Kim’s Sushi almost once a week and sometimes we found ourselves coming 2 times a week! We, especially I, LOVE Kim’s Sushi. I’ve never taken my business anywhere else and I find it very hard to try other sushi places since Kim’s Sushi makes exactly how I love my sushi! My favorite I use to get all the time was 2 orders of smoked salmon and recently I’ve been branching out and have been loving the volcano rolls. The employees are lovely; they notice every time we come in that we are reoccurring guests, and treat everyone so lovely. The employees are lovely as well as Mr. Kim himself.
Last weekend for Palm Sunday, since we could only eat fish, my husband and I came to Kim’s Sushi— taking advantage of the Fish Only day. Previously, we had been to the gym in which I had my hair tied up but I started developing a horrible headache once we got to Kim’s Sushi. A Headache shortly turned into a migraine and that caused me having to get up and leave immediately— feeling nauseous, wanting to faint, wanting to throw up even— while my husband was trying to check up on me yet trying to pay for our bill, it was hectic! Mr.Kim was there this evening and couldn’t help but notice my hurrying out the door without my husband as frequent customers; because my husband was trying to pay the bill as quickly as he could. Mr. Kim was asking what happened, realized what had happened and was quickly packing our things and said, “go go go!” Without a payment of our dinner once understanding what was going on.
Overall, the customer service here is phenomenal and I will continue to keep coming to Mr. Kim’s restaurants as long as they are around!
