We got a Kalbi / BBQ chicken plate – we got 2 pieces of Kalbi and this was the amount of chicken we got for about $25… We ordered 4 plates, and the quantity of the food was shameful. I wish I took photos of the other plates as well.
The choisum was complete mush, the cucumbers tasted watery and the potatoes were way overcooked and a mushy mess.

Pretty good Korean food, good kalbi and other bbq items, Also many of the plates comes with multiple choices of vegetables and the vegetables are quiet decent too so it feels somewhat healthy which is a plus and the taste has remained pretty consistent. Prices have gone up quite a bit since Covid though.

SO GOOD DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! Truly one of our favorite meals we have had during our 2 month stay, best Kal Bi beef/bbq chicken on the island and best we’ve ever had- we know Korean food well. We ordered the number 10, love that you can choose 4 sides. Sabrina at the counter was so helpful and gave us sauces. We enjoyed our meal on the picnic tables next to the marina. Thank goodness Kona had a line, we agreed Kim’s BBQ was way better than whatever Kona would have served. 10/10 and highly recommend!

This is hands down my favorite restaurant on island. Laid back, low key with epic views of sunset outside. Make all my friends come out here when they were in town for my wedding. The kalbi is the star of the show. The best marinade. Made one friend cry it was so good. Meat jun also fire.

Very Disappointed!! My 1st time getting Take Out and I was excited at 1st cause the pictures of the food & portions look really good. I ordered the Kalbi/Bbq Chicken Plate and you think for almost $20.00 a plate would have a good amount of vegetables and 2 big scoops of rice due to all this meat. The 2 scoops of rice looked like mini scoops for a kids plate was very little.
Meats were Marinated really good & the Mandoo was good. Amount with 10 pieces of Mandoo & A large Soda $33.00.
( NOT WORTH IT )
FYI: Don’t order the Kimchee it was BLAND, NO TASTE.

Great Korean BBQ joint in Hawaii Kai! The vegetables are fresh and the chicken (my favorite) is absolutely tasty. Prices are more above $10 but do share your food, because they give a lot and it would save you some hard earned money 🙂

This a a great fast and casual eatery where their marinated veggies are as pictured. It has a homestyle taste except the meats are restaurant quality. Everything was tasty and the portion was generous for the price. Their bbq meat was excellent and abundant. The clerks were also very friendly. There is only a little space for sitting and dining though. Would definitely come again!

Mom and pops restaurant, good and I mean good food at very reasonable prices. Great customer service, fast service. The only catch is the seating. There are benches outside though. I would definitely go out of my way while in Oahu to eat at this place.

Local Gem we stumbled upon.Although It’s not really a dine in place. The food is delicious. We ordered Kim’s Special (Beef, Chicken and Short Ribs), plus sides. It’s really good. And friendly service! We sat outside. It was a nice day!
