What an amazing experience! Greeted with smiles from Hannah and Anabel. The icecream was amazing, and the atmosphere was great! Music playing, lights shining- can’t get much better than this!

I usually go to the Apollo beach location which I love! But unfortunately had a terrible experience at this location. I ordered a banana split and it came with walnuts, which I never asked for( also asked what it came with before ordering to make sure) and am allergic to. I pointed it out and even offered to give it back so a new one could be remade, but they told me to just keep it since “it was already made.” I ended up giving it to my sister and ordering a single waffle cone instead.
No apology at all and made me feel like I inconvenienced them!
They still charged me for the waffle cone despite the inconvenience. The lack of care and customer service completely ruined our night. It would’ve been easily resolved if they just apologized for the inconvenience and remade the banana spilt.

I’ve been coming to this ice cream shop for over 10 years—it’s hands down one of my favorites in the Tampa Bay area. The flavors are always amazing, the quality is top-notch, the shop is clean, and the customer service has consistently been great. One thing I’ve always loved is how generous they are with their scoops—it feels like you’re truly getting your money’s worth.
But today was a little disappointing. I ordered one scoop, and as you can see, it looked more like a kiddie portion. My oldest daughter also ordered one scoop and hers was noticeably larger—more in line with what we’re used to (I wish I had taken a photo). My youngest daughter’s cup looked just like mine, so it seems like it might’ve just been the particular server today.
I get that times are changing and prices are going up, but if I’m paying for a full scoop, I expect the cup to be filled the way it always has been. This won’t stop us from coming back—we really do love this place—but I hope this was just a one-off and not a new norm.

I do love me a good milkshake and this one did not disappoint. Sometimes I do a simple flavor and others I do a creative one like their Captain’s Butterscotch. This had several things going on with it! The blend was perfect. The texture was exactly what I prefer! This milkshake was great and fun! The customer service was excellent as well. I will return and try other ice cream flavors but of course in milkshake form!

Usually I love this place, knowing that I’ll be well taken care of. But I recently went today, on 11/13/2025 and was extremely disappointed and confused. I usually get a 2 scoop of my favorite flavor in a cone with a cup. This means I would pay about 6.90- 7.30ish, because you also pay for the cup, but it’s worth it because the portions are good and ice cream is nice. Today I payed close to 9 dollars for 2 scoops and the scoops were so much smaller than usual, it felt more like a one scoop and I was charged for the cup, the cone AND the ice cream which has never happened. I had lost all interest in the ice cream afterwards as I was severely overcharged and never had to pay this for something that was less than my usual.

The Breakdown: Kimi’s Ice Cream is one of my favorite places in the surrounding Tampa area. Now, I don’t go to Kimi’s for the modern aesthetic – as you can see, the vibe is super casual with a minor coastal feel. While it is nice to experience the fancier establishments, it’s also really important to me to just chill. At Kimi’s, you can absolutely do that! Pull up, grab an ice cream cone with oversized scoops and just hang out with your friends and family! They usually offer outdoor seating in the summer time as well.
Kimi’s is one of my favorites because they serve Superman ice cream – which is a flavor of ice cream you seldomly see anywhere else.
Pro Tip: You can request to try a flavor (or multiple) if you’re not sure on which to order. Also, Kimi’s is located next to a few restaurants. You could grab a bite and stop by Kimi’s for dessert!
Best Part: I always request a few of the 4 scoop containers of my family’s favorite flavors so that we can have them to enjoy at home.
