The food is amazing! Definitely as authentic as you can get outside of Japan. Highly recommend. We tried a few dishes between myself and my husband. I got the Chicken Katsu Curry and Kimen Ramen Spicy and it did not disappoint. The vibe of the restaurant was super cute too and the server was friendly and fast. Will definitely be back.

We had such a great experience at Kimen Ramen! Everything we ordered was delicious. The Takoyaki, Pork Katsu Sando, and Chicken Curry Donburi were all so good.
My favorite was the Pork Katsu Dando. It was incredibly delicious and crispy. I would definitely come back just for that!
The server was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The overall vibe was chill and welcoming, and we had such a good time. Can’t wait to come back again!

Nice ramen shop to get a little taste of Japanese food. The gyozas were really good and the ramen was delicious. I ordered mine mild but it had no spice to it whatsoever. They did have a pot of chili oil on the table so I added that to my broth and it was perfect.
We really love the soy sauce eggs and ordered extra for our ramen. They really should give you a whole egg since the cost of the soup is $16. Overall it was a great restaurant and had a nice atmosphere.

Great atmosphere with some great anime decor. Food was fantastic! Had the Kimen Ramen mild with pork and absolutely devoured it! The broth was rich and they didn’t skimp on the noodles. Will definitely be coming back!

First time visiting Kimen Ramen & Izakaya, and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was great. Our toddler enjoyed it too, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

I came here because my friend recommended it, and even though I’m not a big fan of ramen, this place really surprised me. The staff was super friendly, and the food came out really fast. I loved the Menchi Katsu Tamago appetizer, it was so good! My Katsu Curry Don was delicious, and my boyfriend liked his ramen too. The restaurant is small and cozy, perfect for a date night. I’d definitely come back!

A solid Japanese ramen spot just minutes from GMU — I usually stop in after class. Cozy little shop with good value (most bowls under $20).
I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. The seafood ramen is flavorful, but peeling shrimp mid-meal takes away from the experience. My go-to is the spicy miso ramen with chicken — hearty, balanced, and consistently tasty (a strong 4/5). The spicy Kimen ramen is another good option, though I prefer it with chicken over pork. Last time with pork I’d rate it more like 3.5/5 — still good, but the miso has the edge.
Overall, Kimen isn’t the best ramen you’ll ever have, but it’s reliably tasty, filling, and affordable. Definitely worth it if you’re nearby or a GMU student looking for a quick ramen fix.

This tiny restaurant is open pretty late. It’s another option for those who want to get a bite late at night. The kimen ramen we got was pretty tasty. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were just the right texture. We really enjoyed our food. I usually don’t eat all of my broth but at this restaurant I had all of it because the flavor was pretty good.

My children’s favorite place! My kids are very picky eaters but this Ramen place is the best in NOVA! We had our dinner yesterday celebrating our kid’s first piano Recital. Beer was refreshing cold and appetizers were so good! You should try other menu besides Ramen. Very friendly and kind staff are bonus. We will visit more often.
