I haven’t been here in quite a while since I studied at Berkeley, but the quality and taste is considerably worse. I think there was a change in ownership, and the food is not authentic at all anymore. Wings are bland and not crispy. Scallion pancake is soggy and tasteless. The only thing that was decent was the Gimbap. Sad to see what was once a bustling Korean restaurant back during my college days become soulless. We spent almost $60…terrible deal.

I ordered a beef soondubu with rice and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors of the soup complimented the meat and veggies super well. It also came with a side dish of fried tofu skin. Everything is self-serve, you order on a tablet, pick up your own food, and bus your own dishes which is every introverts dream! It was also pretty quiet when I went on a weekday lunch. Very reasonable prices as well. Would recommend again if I’m back in the area.

So far, this is my go to for quick homey Korean cooking. Love the fried chicken but it’s a bit expensive sadly so won’t get that too often. The Korean rice cake (TTEOKBOKKI) is also a bit pricey. Bibimbap I think is a great value and is solid quality. This I think should be my go to. Soups are good as well. Omelettes look pretty good.
It’s all self serve. Order at one of the 4 kiosks in the front. Food comes out of a window that you pick up. Pick up silverware, water, and sauces by yourself. At the end of the meal, you return everything yourself.

very tasty hot dogs that cost $4-5, you can also sprinkle hot dogs with sugar, a lot of different sauces. convenient menu on the tablet, you choose the place where you want to sit. When your order is ready, your number will be announced over the microphone. the sea food pancake was a bit undercooked I think because they are very busy and the rot try to cook everything quickly. also the kimchi was not heavily fermented.

Tteokbokki is amazing! The consistency at Kimchi Garden is thicker and richer than at other places – it is fairly spicy and it reminds me of the tteokbokki in Korea. The kimchi fried rice is good but nothing special. Overall good spot for nostalgic Korean street food.

Good Korean food. The japchae was a bit overcooked. I was surprised to see pao-de-queijo on the menu (perhaps they have a Brazilian in the kitchen?).

Beef stew with dumplings is very very good.
Order on the iPad and they’ll call your number when the food is ready. The soup came out very hot and she gave me a salt shaker to salt as I wanted. Nice place to enjoy Korean cooking.

Easy ordering through kiosk. Food was good for the price. Forgot to ask them to make the pork belly crispy. Tofu stew is good for 2-3 people.

Ordered tofu protein soup that came along with side white rice. It was comforting to eat hot soup as I was sick and couldn’t cook myself.
