Had a great experience at Kimchee Korean Restaurant. The boneless chicken was perfectly seasoned and really flavorful, and the dip it came with complemented it well. The gimbap tasted fresh and wholesome, yet still very satisfying. I also enjoyed the vegetable pancake — crisp, light, and packed with flavor without feeling heavy. The banchan tastes really good as well. Overall, everything felt well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. Would definitely come back.

Was on vacation and figured I would try this new place that recently opened in Bakersfield. Food was amazing, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I love Korean food one of my favorite Asian cuisines, and this did not disappoint. Im from Hawaii and figured id get some of the basics. Tried the cutlet, kalbi and the sweet and spicy wings. For some reason it just had a more authentic taste, reminded me of home in the 808.
Service was top notch, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Paid attention to detail and knowledgeable with the menu. You can beat the ambience there as well. Maybe because its a fairly new restaurant but the choice of decor for the interior compliments it well and makes you feel as if youre at a fine dining place.
If youre ever in Bakersfield or just want some bomb ads Korean food this is the spot. All homemade and passed down recipes.

Nice cozy and small restaurant in the open mall. Quite surprised by their food, wasn’t expecting it to be that good. It has abouu 8 to 10 tables, quite small for a normal size restaurant, but definitely worth a shot. Service was good and food left me speechless, everything was fresh and even the chef, which I am assuming is the other as well came to check on us, and definitely we are going back. Wish they had alcohol too, they just have a very basic drink menu with can and bottle sodas and teas. I tried the Army stew Hotspot it came on a hot pot(something different), bubbling broth and it had a variety of vegetables and sausage and spam and even came with a purple rice, which infact is regular rice with colouring, but did disappoint at all, the broth was amazing and so was the marinated pork dumplings(first time I tried a marinated one).

lovely place!!❤️ so kind, so warm-welcoming, so clean, so dealicious!☺️
This was an excellent restaurant. The owners were exceptionally kind and welcoming, and although I am Korean, the food was absolutely perfect even by Korean standards. If you are looking for properly prepared and genuinely delicious Korean cuisine, I highly recommend this lovely place.

4.1/5 for the chicken katsu and beef ramen. It was good but nothing amazing. Everything tasted fresh but it didn’t really amaze me compared to the ones that I’ve had in the bay area. A little bit pricey but good try nonetheless.

Finally, a fantastic authentic Korean restaurant in a town that has few ethnic options. We had their kimchi fried rice, sweet and spicy fried chicken, kalbi tang, soon doo bu and haemool pajun and all were so delicious. You can tell they put alot of care into their food prep and have creative side dishes. I highly recommend this place especially for those who are looking for something authentic.

Had a very nice experience, we had the Army Stew Hotpot for 2 (Can Feed at least 3) Owner also came out to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely come back because the short ribs looked amazing! Also the owner makes the Kimchi and banchan. Not store bought.

Kimchee Korean Restaurant is the real deal. I had the Daeji Bulgogi (spicy marinated pork) and it was fantastic—bold flavor, perfectly cooked, and the spice level was just right. My wife got the bibimbap special and it was equally excellent, with super fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The banchan was fresh and flavorful, and the purple rice that came with my Bulgogi was a real treat.
The place stayed busy the entire time we were there, but the wait was totally reasonable and everything moved smoothly. Prices are honestly great right now—if they raise them later, I’d understand, because this quality can’t be cheap. We’ll absolutely be back.

We ordered the kimchi jjigae and the beef kimbap. best kimbap in town! i love how they use the purple rice instead of white rice as a side and in their kimbap. we got the kimchi soup for 2 people and it was more than enough for 2 people. it’s more worth it to get the shareable size. the tofu was good in the soup. the side dishes are so good. you can tell the kimchi is made by the owners. their daughter was a great server and friendly. the owner is so nice as well. she makes the side dishes! would definitely come back
