I’ve been going to Malt & Burger since the 80s and even left a 5-star review about 9 months ago because I always loved their burgers. Sadly, after this last visit, I will never be back.
While the staff was friendly, they really need to speak louder—it’s hard to hear with the busy road right there. But the real issue was the food. The burger was absolutely awful. The patty was slathered on both sides with what felt like half a jar of mayo. It was so bad I couldn’t even finish it and had to throw it away. My daughter summed it up perfectly when she said it was sad a cow gave its life for that burger. On top of that, the Coke Zeros were completely flat, which only made the whole experience worse.
I don’t know what has changed in the past 9 months, but it hasn’t been for the better. Truly heartbreaking to see a Thibodaux classic at such an all-time low.

I was in from out of town and decided to stop on my way out. I got boudin balls and onion rings. They were both disgusting. The onion rings had a sour taste and the boudin balls were so burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside. The rice on the inside was mush and the taste was not good at all. This was my first and last time.

Way over priced. Ice cream in a 8oz cup $4.00 or on a cone. Burgers no seasoning and does not taste well.

The new owners don’t care about what they serve or who. The establishment is very unclean.

i used to go here and cannot remember the food being this bad. fries were so cold and i only live 3 minutes away. they were flavorless. they gave me the wrong order and ended up forgetting some of my order as well. really disappointing

Used to be staple of Thibodaux…not anymore….Stopped there tonight …everything i tried to order they were out of , no chicken sandwiches, no corn dogs, no roast beef …the staff were not visible for the first 5 mins I waited at the window, and it looked unclean and gross inside too…no pride in your business whatsoever I will never be stopping by here again.

I wish I could give 0 stars! This place was horrible all around. Service was trash, the guy was grimy and sagging heavily while preparing the food, only mentioned the sagging because he was constantly stopping to pull them up then went right back to handling food. The cashier had a dry unwelcoming attitude.They were out of nachos, so I ordered chili cheese fries and a shrimp poboy, the total came out to over 30 dollars smh. I waited over 30 mins for them to bring out LITERALLY the worst food I’ve ever paid to eat. The fries were bland, the cheese was nasty and the chili still tasted like the can it came from..The poboy was even more disgusting as the shrimp tasted like it was meant for fishing bait..Overall I feel cheated and finessed!

Decided to give the local place a try tonight. Ordered a bacon cheese burger combo for a total of 18 dollars and some change. Supposed to be fully dressed, there were no tomatoes, bacon was rubbery, and it wasn’t hot at all. The bread was the best thing, I ended up tossing the whole meal in the trash. The girl that took my oder was very nice and even cane out the bring me my food with I appreciate. Will be quite a while before I return.
