was in the area and searched “food near me.” Kim Chai Restaurant populated and had amazing reviews so i decided to give it a try. upon entering i was greeted with a warm welcome and smile by the owner. a patron waiting on his order also greeted me. as i looked at the menu on the wall the patron said, “this must be your first time…well, after today, it won’t be your last.” i placed my order only to find out they’re CASH ONLY…and i was quickly saddened. but before i knew it, the patron said, “my treat since it’s your first time.” my to-go order was ready within minutes and i couldn’t believe how much food was in the tray. we all continued to talk for a while longer and that alone let me know that i surely would return. the food was absolutely delicious! i can’t wait to go back and try other menu items. highly recommend…and remember, CASH ONLY.

This has been my spot for a minute. A lot of times I forget about it because it is cash only and I rarely carry any cash. The folks who work here are always so kind. You cannot find a better price anywhere else in the city of Memphis. I’m on a tour of all my neighborhood chines spots over the next few weeks. Trying to broaden my horizons. I already know that the other spots won’t beat the price and speed of this place!

Recently discovered this place. No matter who is working the front they are always polite and have great customer service. This is the best rice I have had in the city. The chicken is great also. Everything I ordered always great. A year later still the best rice in town.

The food was very bland but the service was exceptional. But the place is very old could use some updating however, it’s an old gem that’s been standing for a while so I commend them for still being around. And they only accept cash, they should start accepting card payments
