I had high expectations due to the Google ratings. The steak sandwich was tasty. A large portion of steak but a little bit too fatty for myself. I went back the next day to try the chicken wrap and was disappointed the wrap itself had a char burn taste. The garden salad that was an optional side for the steak sandwich as an option was great, The dressing that comes with it is a very nice dressing. The tomatoes tasted off. So the next day I opted for no tomatoes in my salad. They have great prices with lunch specials between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.

I hosted a baby shower luncheon for 22 guests and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. Tamara, my contact person, was excellent-attentive, organized and a pleasure to work with. The food was delicious, and the space was perfect for table games and socializing, which helped create a truly memorable afternoon. Several guests reached out afterward to share how much they enjoyed it, which meant a lot. I would highly recommend this venue for a small event.

My fiancé and I ended up stopping here after a long day and we are so grateful that we did. This is going to be our new go to restaurant in Georgetown. The food was amazing. The service was phenomenal, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was so welcoming and comforting.

Sydney was such an amazing waitress she took her time to explain to us some of the food items and checked up on us regularly to ensure that we had everything that we needed.

Went to this quaint little restaurant with my daughter in downtown Georgetown ! We were looking to try some seafood and the server, Sarah was the sweetest and was so wonderful to have offered us calamari for lunch even though it was on the dinner menu !! Made us feel so special and so welcome.
Loved the food and the service. Not your average restaurant . It’s very special and quite amazing. Shout out to the chefs ! Must visit and try their Sticky toffee pudding .

What a find today! Killick Kitchen is a smallish, cozy restaurant that just feels comfortable as soon as you enter. Our server Tamara definitely added to that feeling with her welcoming smile and great service. We both had the salmon with a shrimp cream sauce on rice. One of the best salmon lunches we can remember. Even the veggies were sauteed to perfection. A new favourite for us.

Came back to this place Dec. 28,2023- food was good. Was shocked with quantity of veggies. For a second I thought someone had eaten some. The food tasted good but not for the price.

I received a quarter-filled container of veggies and a square pasta type dish. I changed my 5/5 rating to 4/5.

This is a really great local place. Ordered the cream mushroom soup which was great. The chicken brie was also very tasty. Had a side house salad with balsamic. The balsamic looked like it was made and not store bought. Unsure if it’s just a really good store bought balsamic.

My husband made dinner reservations at this restaurant for Valentine’s Day, encouraging me that we need to try and support local spots. I was genuinely excited as it’s a special occasion, and our first dinner outing with our one year old daughter! Within mere minutes of our arrival, I felt defeated. The waitress, without a “hello”, asked if we had reservations and immediately proceeded to state we couldn’t keep our stroller in the walkway. I admit, I did not properly research and didn’t realize how small the establishment is; but there is a way to address not only customers, but people in general. That led to her stating it was going to be a busy evening (understandable) and she had “squeezed us in” (we phoned and made reservations on Thursday morning).

It felt as though our very presence was a sudden inconvenience to her. Her tone was condescending and rude; and with it being a small establishment, many customers were looking at us and I was deeply embarrassed.

Several minutes passed before she returned and as I was just about to ask for a high chair (since we hadn’t been offered), she said she had to be elsewhere. When it came to ordering, my husband asked her opinion on the salmon of lamb chops and was curtly met with, “They’re both good”. All the while we listened to her strike up boisterous and joyous conversation with the other patrons at their tables. My husband and I hastily finished our meals, paid, and left within the hour just to wrap up the experience as soon as possible. I have no desire to return. That woman desperately needs basic training on service and hospitality. Especially after loudly broadcasting she had “been with the company since it opened”.

Yes, we eventually received a high chair. Yes, the food was good. Yes, she said thank you as we departed. However, the reality is that you never, ever forget how people made you feel.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Killick Kitchen in Georgetown, Ontario. The first time I visited, the hostess greeted us with outright hostility, simply saying, “We don’t have any room,” without offering any alternatives. Fast forward to tonight: we gave them another chance, booking a reservation for Valentine’s Day. When we arrived, the same server quickly noticed me, but asked, “Can I help you?” in a very degrading tone. After we were seated, it still took another 15 minutes before anyone asked what we would like. To be fair, the food was incredible—the chef truly delivered an amazing meal. But the night was completely overshadowed by the degrading service. When we paid the bill, my fiancé left a $23 tip, and the server actually threw the bill at us. Later, she returned and asked if something was wrong, but it felt like a hollow gesture—especially since my fiancé explained we were just tight on money due to rent. I wanted to love this place, but the way we were treated turned a special evening into a somber disappointment. I hope management takes a hard look at their front-of-house staff, because the food deserves better, and so do their customers.
