I have been wanting to visit KiKu for some time now and last night we went there for dinner. I am disappointed in the experience. The staff: not very accommodating and customer service is not priority, instead they act like there doing you a favor. All of the hostess in the front start the tone of arrogance and create a non welcoming tone. The atmosphere: very open set up and dimmed lighting but we were there for dinner so it was a dinner setting, understood. The food: OMG, not good at all. Now usually with these type of meals there to salty or flavored just right. This was the opposite, the soup was watered down to the ground. The salad was meh, the cooked vegetables were lukewarm warm right from the grill? Not sure how that happened and they taste like soap or something, it was a very strange taste. Basically the vegetable didn’t taste like themselves. The proteins were also flavorless, so strange. We also had rolls for appetizers, the spicy tuna roll was ok but my daughter friend did not like her California roll at all. It just wasn’t a good food experience, I’ve eaten at many Habachi restaurants, this was the most flavorless one in life. The chef: is the reason for the 2 stars. His part of the experience was technically 5 star. He was funny, engaging, he talked to us and of course he did a lot of the tricks and fun stuff that some chefs do at Habachi restaurants. He was the best part of the experience. Overall, I personally would not return.

This is the second year in a row. My family and I went here for dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, our chef was fantastic and super fun, and the portions were huge. Will definitely be back again! Thank you for another great birthday 🙂

the food here was really delicious and the staff were incredibly nice and entertaining. we came here for a family member’s birthday and we had a blast! even though we had a reservation, we did have to wait 40mins to get seated but we did go on a saturday so it was extremely busy! all in all, it was an amazing time here and the service and food were definitely worth the wait!

I should have listened to the reviews. First time and last time at this place. We had a reservation and were sat at our reserved time, so I was impressed based on other reviews.
Until we sat there watching everyone to eat and an hour later our chef came out. Soup tasted like water and everyone pushed it away. Salad was meh. Everyone in our party complained about how overcooked and dry our food was. Our chef was also boring as hell and kept saying the same words over and over as if he was funny. Couldn’t wait for it to end to be honest. It’s beautiful inside but they need to step it up with food quality and taste. I’ve also never been to a hibachi that only does broccoli and zucchini for your veggies. Like what the hell?

A little disappointed in the management there. I asked if I could get a child’s portion due to health issues and told no. I was upset. Most places understand and let me. So I wanted to make sure I wrote a review. I wasn’t trying not to pay. I just think its a sin to waste food especially how expensive food is now a days. Otherwise cook was awesome. Still had a good time. Unfortunately my leftovers hit the garage the next day.

We had reservations for 7:30 for a Saturday night. We waited an hour to be seated still, at 8:30. Don’t think we ate until 9:30 because service was slow. Cook was awesome and so was the food. There was an automatic gratuity for parties 6+ which is fine, but the server wrote the tip in with pen on our receipt which is incredibly suspicious.

This is a tradition to go here on Christmas Eve with friends; we were met with water flowing from the ceiling over the bar, buckets spread around catching water. Health and fire hazard didn’t stop us from being seated. Cook wasn’t as good as some others we watched and the food was subpar. Lobster and steak both over cooked, others in my group complained about the same thing. I think we need to find a new Christmas Eve location.

I can’t even say enough positive things about this place. Probably some of the best sushi I have ever had. The service was perfect. The sushi chef was friendly and served our food directly to us. We were sitting at the sushi bar. We really enjoyed Kiku and will return when in town!
