Great authentic family run restaurant and breakfast burrito spot. Ordered breakfast burrito with carne asada, egg, potatoes, cheese, tortilla and chili. It was very good. The chili was very mild. Good size, for the value. Very friendly staff.

Stopped here to kill some time and I must say it was a good choice. I have the breakfast tacos and my daughter had the chilaquiles plate. She needed my help to clean her plate. It was good food.

The food was amazing! The menudo was just as like home made, full of tripe just mom makes it. Don’t let the outside fool you, it is clean inside and the service is great!!!

I had read that this place was the “best Mexican food” in Brighton, and as you know there are about 38 restaurants in this small town for Mexican food. I personally was only impressed that there were not a lot of people, and the carne-asada was seasoned well but other than that it wasn’t worth the 40 minute drive, nor was I satisfied food-wise. The plate I got was a $16.45 carne-asada plate which was small, the serving size was only able to consume two tacos worth which isn’t even a meal, that’s more of an appetizer and it cost as much as a five-star meal. Everything else was basic, the rice, the lettuce and beans, and the service was “OK” until the end when the waitress disappeared with my credit card and took over 20 minutes to charge my card and bring it back to me for a signature. The atmosphere was open and basic seating but didn’t have a traditional vibe or really any sort of “authentic” vibe at all, and from the outside you would not know this is a Mexican restuarant. I left feeling very hungry for what I had just paid for myself and a guest to eat ($46) and ended up going to Mcdonalds to get 2 cheeseburgers to fill me.

The place is small, but not crowded. Parking there is gross. We were instantly seated and able to order without issue. The meal took a minute to get to us. Super disappointed in the horchata. It was weak and 80% ice. My iced tea a little too much ice as well. The price was alright, but more expensive than I would have hoped. The meals were decent. I really enjoyed the green chili, however I think their green chili is very basic. They nailed that recipe and it excellently paired with the burrito. I didn’t smother the eggs, because green chili is either a hit or a miss. It’s a hit here. The meal was fresh and well prepared. They were out of chorizo unfortunately. I will have to give it a second try another time. I can’t say I would recommend it to anyone. But it wasn’t so bad I won’t ever go back.

We were kind of skeptical coming here as the front of the restaurant isn’t displayed the best. BUT…. Let me tell you! It was worth every penny! Food was amazing, my husband got the hot green chili and he said that it has a great flavor but definitely really hot. The Chimichanga was very well cooked and even smothered it didn’t lose its crisp. 10 out of 10 reccomend!! We will be back in the future!

This place has the best Mexican food! I have been here twice, first visit I got the jumbo burrito (they mean JUMBO!) and the second I got camarones a la mexicana (pictured) and they were both fantastic meals. The prices are great, the service is amazing and the restaurant is very clean. Kikos easily earned 5 stars, I highly recommend.
