Walked in to the smell of delicious food, we could choose seating as well. The food was great and wholesome; we started with the veggie samosas, then had the five selection dish with Red Tibs and Lamb 1, Kae Miser 20, White Tibs with Chicken 2, Zilzil-wot 4, and Tikal Gomen Beh Siga 9. All delicious food and the injera flatbread was plentiful to eat everything by hand. Fresh and tasty!

kibrom’s was a nice first experience with ethiopean/eritrean food for us. we arrived 6:30pm on a friday and were seated right away. service was prompt and polite though not particularly warm or welcoming. got the 6 item large portion beyaynetu plus samosa starters to share for our family of 4 (incl 2 little ones) and it was the perfect amount.

to be honest, we had really high expectations due to all the amazing google reviews and even though we thought the food was good, the flavor profiles of what we tried were not as complex/intense as what we were expecting. my favorite was the red tibs & beef and even then, it was much less spicy than i expected/hoped for, though the beef was nice and tender. next best was gomen. the injera was soft, pillowy and generously portioned.

also ordered avocado and sprice (avo, mango, banana) juices. note that these have more of a thick smoothie consistency – not my preference but the kids loved them.

Service was OK – I would not say overly friendly or welcoming, though. Our food was good – we both ordered vegetarian meals. We did not realize that we had to eat with our hands and our waitress assumed that we would know that. This was our first experience with Ethiopian food, which again was good, but not great. We had nothing to compare it to, though.

I’ve been a customer for 10+ years and have always gotten fantastic service and amazing food here. When I have family and friends in town I always bring them here for the food–it never disappoints. I especially appreciate the veggie options because they’re so delicious! If I could rate them at 6 stars I would–Kibrom’s is that good.

Oh man hands down the best ethnic food I’ve ever had in Idaho. Our favorite date night location. We’re always sure to eat less on a Kibrom’s day so we can pig out. Didn’t care for the take out that we tried one time but we enjoy the atmosphere anyway.

I eat at Kibrom’s all the time and just realized I’ve never left a review. EVERYTHING on the menu is amazing. The service is quick and the people are wonderful. When I bring in my kids they’re so sweet with them. Tonight I’m drooling waiting to go get my take out but definitely dine in with them they’re the best and their food is delicious!

Amazing, authentic Ethiopian food! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked with love. It’s a family business, and you can really feel the pride they put into their food and service. Highly recommend Kibrom if you want real Ethiopian food.

I’m in love. Had this delivered. First time trying Ethiopian food. The Veggie Samosa was so good, packed full, and very flavorful. The beef one was also stuffed with filings, but I prefer the flavor of the veggie and the sauce that came with them was unique and perfect. I got a side of rice, delicately spiced, ideal to go with the mains. I got the veggie and meat 6 items. The Tikel Gomen was my least favorite, but still a good dish. Selsi was very good, not as spicy as I thought. Foselia was super good, great textures. Dero Wat, I loved it was on the bone, and tender. Red Tibs Lamb had larger chunks, good flavor. The Zilzil Wot was my favorite! I got the gluten-free Injera, I enjoyed the texture and tang. The salad, while simple, was so well done, fresh and bright, and held up through the 30 min drive. Cons? my samosas were over cooked. It got sloshed around during the delivery, but that’s not the restaurants fault.

We found it helpful to study the menu online prior to going. We’re visiting & this was recommended by my vegan brother. All of our party enjoyed our yummy food with meat and veggies and grains & fun experience, except my mom who complained about how improper it was to eat with your hands. lol. But mom, they have forks-lets just ask. No, no. Its ok. Grumble grumble. Spicy or not, it was yummy. We liked it so much, went back again!

Loved the food. Reminds me so much of my friend Asters cooking who unfortunately passed away. She was Ethiopian. Anyway, food was incredible. Will be coming here more often ❤️
