Small and cozy Thai restaurant in Manotick. Fresh ingredients, hot and reasonable portions for all items I ordered that night except the shrimp rolls. The size of shrimp roll is small compare to the same thing from other Thai restaurants. Should have more rice coming with the curry and the sauce should be a bit thicker with more coconut milk in my opinion.

A true hidden gem, and one hell of a slept-on joint. I’ve had my fair share of Thai food, and this definitely ranks among the top 5.
Very crisp flavours, excellent aroma on the food, reasonably-sized portions, good service, nice and cozy atmosphere, all at a decent and very fair price. The portions are about the right size, considering they are clearly opting for a quality-over-quantity approach, while trying to avoid jacking up their prices.
To illustrate the quality of the food these guys served, take the Tom Yum soup for one example:
The broth is very flavorful, but is extremely clear and aromatic. Some places try to mask a sloppy Tom Yum by giving you a huge portion, but not these guys.
You can clock an excellent Thai joint just by trying their Tom Yum, and Khao Yum definitely passes the test.

The food here is absolutely delicious, no complaints about the taste or quality. I have noticed the portions have gotten smaller lately, which is a bit disappointing. The service can also be hit or miss – it’s often impossible to get through on the phone for takeout, and when picking up, it sometimes takes a while before anyone acknowledges you. A few times I’ve paid and still had to wait another 15-20 minutes for my order. That said, the staff are always very kind and welcoming, and that makes a big difference.

A very small, cozy and inviting authentic restaurant. The service here is so wonderful. The food was delicious, fresh, colorful with generous portions. Lovely classical music playing in the background. There is a charming outdoor patio as well. We ordered Por Pia Goong (shrimp spring rolls) and Gai Satay (chicken satay) as appetizers. Absolutely lovely. For our entrées we chose PAD Thai, Pad Sea-Eiw and Gang Ga-Ree Gai (yellow curry with chicken, potatoe in coconut milk curry) and all were so delicious and well presented. It is very busy, so you can take your chance and drop in, or make a reservation. They offer take out, which is quite popular. A truly delightful meal, satisfying in so many ways. Highly recommend. Air quality is fantastic with excellent ventilation and climate control. #localguide

While the food remains delicious, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in portion sizes for takeout orders recently. Despite paying just over $25 for rice and panang chicken red curry, the serving size seems to be half of what it used to be. This reduction in quantity doesn’t justify the premium pricing anymore in my opinion

Just tried out this restaurant on local recommendation. I hope what I had was an accident. Stuff is really friendly don’t make me wrong, but the issue is the food, tooo oil. I’m the kind of ppl enjoy oil food but that one is toooooooo oil, can’t finish all of them since at the bottom of the dish is only visible oil with rich oil pho lol. Their curry tastes good and strong flavor, highly recommend if you order to go and you have more rice on your place, pretty sure you will enjoy it.

This is my first time visiting this resturent in Manotick. We were with group of people so we got the chance to share and try multiple dishes. We order for appetizers the Gai Satey((Chicken Satey) and we also got the shrimps rolls. For the main course we got different curries. The food was amazing and the staff was welcoming.

We have ordered takeout a few times and the food has always been great. Recently we ordered takeout and were very disappointed with the size of our order. Based on the price of 19$ for our dish the container was the size of an iPhone. I have never eaten in the restaurant so maybe the portion size is better but I wanted to share the surprising small size of my dish for those ordering takeout.
