Good place in central Kampala. The staff is polite. Vibe is an authentic Indian. Food is close to original but less spicy than in India. Some problems with alcoholic cocktails, far from the recipe (tried whiskey sour). Many flees.

We will never eat here again!
Rice without flavor! Without spices

I am not a big lover of Indian food, but was still every excited to give Khana Khazana a try – any restaurant with the word Treasure (Khazana) must be good, right? The restaurant is decorated in a Northern Indian style and they specialize in Tandoori based dishes. Their menu is vast so it was a bit difficult for me to choose something, however with some help from the waiter I ended up getting something I really enjoyed. They seem to also be very popular with the locals as the restaurant was quite full, which is always a good sign. If you enjoy Indian food, this is a must-visit.

Food was pretty good, flavours on point, biryani was great, palak paneer was really good, though the lamb chops were not tender enough, a bit chewy for my liking 4.5/5. Portion sizes were modest depending on the fish.
Ambiance was nice and service 5/5 was very good 5/5

We have eaten at 20+ Indian restaurants in California, Uganda and Kenya. This is the best one. Period. Our kids loved the bhindi masala.
Beautiful grounds and fantastic food. Have eaten here 5-6 times and never had a bad dish.

A beautifully designed restaurant serving Indian cuisine. Good for a family outing or a private business meeting. The food portions are also good enough with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. However, those who are having gluten or dairy products restrictions should ask first given that a lot of food menu has dairy products in it. The prices are also not budget option and the waiters are also friendly. They also do serve alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. Though was disappointed with the Mango Lassi and won’t recommend it. one could not feel or taste the mango at all on the Mango Lassi.
