While some of the sweets were quite good, not all of them felt fresh — a few seemed like they had been sitting out for a bit. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it didn’t exactly wow us either.
The lady also mentioned they serve typical North Indian or Punjabi-style meals and breakfast items, though we didn’t get a chance to try those. Overall, the service was lovely, and the sweets were decent — just not the freshest or most memorable we’ve had.
Authentic Punjabi rural cuisine! True taste of Punjab which is very lightly altered to suit non-Indians.
Sweets: I don’t think there can be a better besan burfi that you can buy. 100% authentic!
Also bought til bhugga which is special for Lohri. No other place I know that sells till bhugga. Besides that we ordered badana.
Our family had a meal, we ordered samosa, dal makhani, paneer butter masala, yogurt, choley bhature and gobhi parantha.
Highly recommend choley bhature and dal. Naam is must try!
Don’t recommend gobhi parantha.
The girl at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. Good service overall.
Chole were really disappointing. Add to that they have a 10% surcharge for dine in! Really disappointed
They seemed to have a nice close-knit community relying on this shop and that made the vibe pretty intimate in the shop. All in all we would try more of their food and sweets if we are around the area again!
