Not the most ascetically pleasing inside lol but the food is 10/10, my favorite and only things I’ve tried are the suya noodles and the shawarma. The noodles are steep $30 but soooooo yummy. As in it’s taste like its from naija. The shawarma i recently tried too was great. Love how they seasoned it. I’d be back.

Great customer service from everyone I encountered (2 men), they were friendly and one of the Guy explained the entire menu since I wasn’t familiar with anything on the menu. I went with the J luv And it was 10 out of 10!! Very good food and customer service was great. I will definitely be returning

We love this place!!
We eat here probably AT LEAST once every week or 2…at least.
The food is always always fresh and delicious.
They are open late most nights so sometimes we will even get it a 1 a.m.

Best fried plantain ever. Great Suya. Coconut rice is everything. Mixed veggies are a yummy healthy addition.

To say this place was a disappointment is a bit of understatement. Maybe I just don’t have the right taste buds but I just wasn’t a fan. I got fried chicken here for takeout which was not great. The chicken itself was OK, but the seasoning was sub par and then they added a bunch of seasoning on the chicken which wasn’t cooked, had a really strong taste without any good flavour and just didn’t make for a great experience. Disappointing!

This is my 2nd time meeting up with friends here. I’m African and brought my Hispanic friend to try out African food. I know it’s a steakhouse but I think it rather too pricey. Why is one fried egg $5. I was not even asked the level of spicy I want my noodles to be. It ended up being too spicy

I think if the ambience matches the price it wouldn’t be that bad.
The suya was not my favorite.

This is a good place but doesn’t really stand out to me. I think the owners can make it better as one of the few Afro steakhouses a lot can be achieved with this place.

Had the munchies late at night so I went looking around for some food and found this nice West African restaurant. The images of steak and lamb chops pulled me in but then I reminded myself that I didn’t want to go broke that night, so I went for their Suya and Jollof Rice. It was my first time trying suya and man, was it delicious! The spices were hitting right and the rice complimented the meat well – both great on their own but amazing together. I had to pull over and finish it, it didn’t even make it back to the room!

Great stuff from those brothers in there, good hospitality as well, plus the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. I’d recommend checking this place out for sure, I’ll definitely be back to try some more of their menu.

In this review, I discuss the items ordered, the prices, the taste, serving size, ambience, payment method for the food items and the customer service presented by the business proprietor.

What we ordered:
My friends and I ordered shawarma, suya toast motherf*u*a, asun and the faya suya. Shawarma costs $12 and the toast cost $15. Asun costs $20.

Wait time:
If you don’t want to wait, order before coming in. Otherwise, you’ll have a 20-30 minute wait. The vibe is very chill though and they serve you bottled water while you wait.

Taste of meal:
The shawarma was very savory instead of too cloyingly sweet. I enjoyed that.

The asun was giving the asun taste and the presentation was nice. However, my friend complained that the goat meat taste overwhelmed the whole meal and you couldn’t taste the flavoring.

One thing to note is that the suya spice/yaji spice doesn’t taste like the original at all. That was quite disappointing. It was essentially steak with red spice. I mention it as something of note because comparatively, other suya seller spices taste like the yaji spice we eat in Nigeria or very close to it.

My suya had way too much fat (about half the suya) but the proprietor was very eager to fix that after I complained about it. He had also noticed it when the food was being prepared by one of his chefs but was told I asked for more fat . Miscommunication. He fix that by giving me another plate of suya.

Serving size:
Another thing of note, the serving portions are large here. The shawarma was about 8 inches long, so longer than a subway half sandwich but not as long as a foot long but it was about 4 inches wide, so maybe almost double the width of a subway sandwich bread. The asun was in one of those small traditional black bowls and was filled to the brim so that my friend was able to take some of hers home. The toast suya was agege bread but was cut in slices. The bread was slightly bigger than a sonic Texas toast bread and was wider too. My friend added an egg to hers for $5.

Ambience:
The cooking space was open so customers could see the chefs doing their thing. That was interesting to see. Additionally, the place was well decorated in colors of grey and brown and had decorative knives on the wall. The interior had clearly been put together with a theme and that led to a space that was very calming, relaxing and open.

Payment method:
They had electronic payment here as restaurants often do. I was able to use Apple Pay and my debit/credit card to pay.

Overall, it was a nice experience despite the wait, so if you go there, take some friends so you can relax and chat together while waiting.

I came in this Sunday and purchased three packs of Jollof for $85, and I can’t express how disappointed I am. There were only about 10 pieces of suya and about 4 of then were burnt on the plate, and the rice on all three plates was burnt as well. This is extremely disappointing, especially since this is a place I come to often. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.

Food is decent. Portions are really good. Customer service can be better though. They come off as rude and uncaring. Might repeat.
