If you enjoy bone dry, bland and cold mutant chicken then this is your place. Even the “crispy” breading was stale and bland. Their food likely sits out for hours. Sides were cold too. It deserves zero stars. Head over to Safeway and grab their 8-piece chicken for 1/4 the price and 20 times the quality. Please close down and open up the space for any other business.

The reviews here are harsh but correct. I wrote a glowing review of a KFC in Seattle. This place is the opposite. 12 piece bucket consisting of 6 drumsticks 3 probable thighs and 3 strange unidentifiable pieces horribly cooked and battered. Doesn’t even taste or look like KFC. Just don’t go here. I’m the drive thru they told us the popcorn chicken was going to be a 15 minute wait so I decided to go for the chicken sandwich instead. This resulted in a 30 minute wait. And the chicken sandwich was just downright weird and horrible. Chicken resembled more of a deep fried fish than a crispy chicken sandwich in texture. Almost immediately made me feel sick to my stomach. Fries were burnt to a crisp. 0/10 will not ever be getting kfc from this location again

Wont be returning to Kailua location again! Lady who took our order was RUDE! Took a good 7minutes for her to come to the drive-thru window just to stand there and prep our order. No one but us in line, you could tell shes overworked, underpaid and hates her job! The smell coming out of the window was disgusting. We tried to cheer her up and make small talk. thanked her multiple times and couldnt get a smile or a simple your welcome or have a nice day. Customer service Terrible!

Let me start by saying we’ve had KFC all over the world and always love it. This location near our home in Kailua, Hawaii has been the only KFC that has been consistently poor. (Not sure how they are able to stay open as a KFC). I would have given one star but I gave two for fast (however not friendly) service. The chicken pot pies we ordered were not normal KFC pot pies. They looked like the standard pot pie from the outside but when we broke open the crust, it was full of dry chicken, mashed potatoes (huh?) and a few veggies (counted 5 pieces) thrown in. NO SAUCE at all; just just a dry mass of chicken mixed with mashed potatoes. if we wanted mashed potatoes we would’ve ordered the famous bowl. The normal KFC pot pie has leftover chicken (makes sense to use that!) and lots of veggies in a savory chicken sauce. These were nothing like that. We won’t be returning to this location due to too many problems in the past. Not sure what’s going on with the management there. Their fried chicken always tastes stale like it’s cooked in old oil. We’ve tried it several times hoping it will get better but it never does. That’s why we opted for the pot pies this time. Can’t screw them up right? Wrong! The pot pies weren’t any better than the chicken. Such a shame. We have never experienced problems like these at other KFCs. Wish corporate would come out and retrain the team.
