Undercooked Chicken – Health Hazard and Total Disappointment
We placed a mobile order from the KFC at 4917 Bellflower Blvd., Lakewood, CA on May 13, 2025, and what we received was a public health hazard. Multiple pieces of chicken in our 12-piece meal were visibly undercooked—pink, rubbery, and unsafe. I’ve attached photos that clearly show raw sections near the bone. It was repulsive and dangerous.
Only the wings and drumsticks appeared fully cooked. My son and I ate only partial pieces before realizing how bad it was. I ended up feeling queasy and disgusted just from seeing the raw meat. They refunded the $38.94 and gave us 500 points, but that doesn’t undo the risk or the trauma.
We trusted this brand with our health. That trust is gone.
This isn’t an isolated case—it seems like undercooked chicken is becoming a pattern at KFC locations, and it’s unacceptable. Don’t risk your health for convenience. Check your food thoroughly. Or better yet—go elsewhere.
KFC needs to do better before someone ends up seriously ill. This was appalling.

Why are your chicken nuggets so small? Ordered like six along with a pot pie and I was so disappointed. They were not much bigger then my toe nail. Surely KFC can do chicken better than that!

Food did not taste good whatsoever. Might have used an excess amount of salt for they’re wedges. Made my whole meal taste really salty. I can’t even start with the Chicken Little sandwich I was served. *Note to self – stay AWAY from KFC.

I stopped by at 9:38pm to get a quick bite to eat. As soon as I drove up they told me all they had were biscuits and macaroni. No greeting or welcome just “all we have is biscuits and macaroni.” I wish they would post it somewhere that after a certain time they stop having certain items available. Maybe I missed the sign or post? Unfortunately for them we will be taking our money elsewhere from now on.

Apparently the location of the original Denny’s when it was called Danny’s donuts or whatever. It was bought and turned into a KFC. Although some others claim it’s one of the currently operating Denny’s nearby that was the original Denny’s.

Yikes. Not only is staff unfriendly, downright intimidating, but this location charges $5.85 for one breast a la carte, and $4 for a thigh! For KFC chicken!
