I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at the Sterling KFC this evening. Earlier in the day, I called to ask about ordering coleslaw for a large event I’m hosting. I was quoted $34.63 per 100 ounce container, tax included, and was told I could receive 10% off my coleslaw order that’s the max he could do. That sounded great, so I made time in my evening to go to the store to place the order.
When I arrived, I placed a small food order and then explained that I wanted to order 15 containers of coleslaw at the quoted price and discount. Instead of being helped, another employee who seemed to insert himself into the conversation spoke to me as if I had no idea what I was talking about and insisted I hadn’t spoken to anyone there. When I mentioned that I could go to the Clinton location if needed, he became visibly upset and told me to “go to Clinton,” refusing to take my catering order.
Even when I tried to calm the situation and talk it through, he cut me off and told me again to go to Clinton, even threatening to call the police four times for absolutely no reason. I never raised my voice, used foul language, or caused a scene. I was simply trying to clarify an order I had already discussed over the phone.
If this individual is a manager, he seriously needs retraining in customer service and conflict resolution. I understand that everyone has tough days, but this kind of behavior toward a paying customer is completely unacceptable.
I’ve been ordering large coleslaw orders from KFC for the past four years around this time of year, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I left shocked, disappointed, and honestly disgusted by how I was treated.
KFC Corporate, please look into this situation. Customers deserve to be treated with respect.
