This KFC is actually a KFC/TACO BELL. It is located in Spruce Pine, NC. At this time there is a McDonald’s and this KFC/TACO BELL fast food in Spruce Pine. And, that’s it. There are a few other restaurants but these are the only two fast food. Although, the Pizza Hut has a thru window. The food is hot and good. The mash potatoes and gravy are my favorite. The people who work there always try their very best to make your experience a good one. But, sometimes it takes awhile because they make your food when you order and they just don’t have enough help. But personally I have only had good experiences here.
Also, after Helene they were one of the very first stores to open. Period! It had to do with its water and septic tank hook up’s. Or that’s how I understand it.
So thank you to this store for going the extra mile at that awful time to support your community. It was very much appreciated.

After walking through a cloud of a staff member’s cigarette smoke by the front door we ordered and tried to find an area to sit in the dining room where ants had not infested. This was extra difficult since most tables were not wiped down. Then our smoking staff member came back from his smoke break loudly exclaiming “go home people!” There are so many easy things they could do to keep customers coming back and they simply don’t. How hard is it to hire an exterminator, wash windows properly, wipe down tables, smoke out back etc.?

Absolutely not. I finished half of my drink, and took the lid off to see two ants frozen into an ice cube, along with another floating in the drink. When I talked to them about it they said it wasn’t their problem, I’d rather eat another ant then go there again.

The girl parked us said it would be 30 minutes for chicken tenders and we waited 20 minutes and then she came out and said that she wasn’t even waiting for tenders it was filets and my tenders were old and the chicken lovers were burnt that place is a joke!!

Picked up our order through the drive-through on the way home from picking up our grandkids. We live an hour away. We didn’t check the order and were missing the kids’ chicken tenders. Called the company, and they said they would tell who they needed to and we’d hear back. It’s been a week, and no one has called or put the $15.00 back in our account. KFC is getting as bad as McDonald’s. They always get the order wrong, forget part of the order, and charge way too much. We waited almost 15 minutes to get waited on top dine in. The cashier was great, but they were out of the original recipe. They did let us make a change for 2 mashed potatoes for sides when it was supposed to be 4 different sides. It was a 6-piece bucket for 2. The single sides are tiny. The chicken is so good most of the time as we all know, but the colonel would be so upset at their service and prices.. he was a fair man and a good man.

Stood at front counter for 10 minutes. The woman at the drive thru called someone to come to the counter, she screamed I’m busy they can wait. We’ll no you can take your rudeness and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. I wouldn’t recommend that any one visit the spruce pine n.c. location. Not only are they rude but the restaurant is nasty.
